Im totally on board with the AI overhype. If these programs cannot even understand human fingers there is no way we are to the point of it doing even half of the things they claim. I believe that just like self driving cars, this is just utopian thinking with the enthusiasm of the lazy. 🤖

I think a lot of people go overboard. You want to generate an image for a presentation slide or an ad -- cool. But some people are using it to make AI headshots to appear better looking than they really are and making AI posts to make things seem better than they are. Overhyping things that are really mundane.

AI has been around for how long, and it still can’t get a lot of things right 😂. Being a coder for 5 years, I hope to go to a con sometime. They sound like fun.

I think AI has its place and apparently so does the AAPC, considering they acquired Semantic Health. With that said, I feel when it comes to creativity, AI should not replace the human component. I am an artist, musician, and alternative sports person whose creativity within these platforms helps drive my reason for living and gives me great joy, I would hate for that to go away to AI. I think it creates lazy minded people. We need people like Mozart, Monet, and all the other greats that inspire people to pursue their passions. Human creativity should never go away. It should always be part of the equation. Off my soap box now lol. Always great content Victoria! Thank you!

I'm getting really down about how much money and networking it has been taking to even get your toe in the door, not even your foot. Everything costs money... Even after passing the exam... It seems for this area of the medical field, your knowledge or experience doesn't really matter, what matters is how much you're willing to pay for webinars, memberships, books, mentorship, and courses. On top of that, the amount of time you have to invest to get connected with people in order to find potential opportunities is difficult when balancing so much already. I have a military family, and we have to move often so I was really hoping this would be a great opportunity to further support my family and be able to take my work with me wherever we go. I guess this is just the way the majority of jobs are nowadays, but it has been a really defeating process over these last two years. When coming into this, so many people said it worked out for them and then even the courses constantly push just how quickly it should actually be to get you a job. Maybe it was just my skewed expectations.

No sadly appearance is not always thought about when attending a conference and networking. I travel with my husband to his conferences to assist when he is speaking and I am always shocked at how attendees just do not pay attention to how they look during the conference. Although comfortable shoes do not count because you HAVE to wear comfortable shoes at a conference. 🙂
