So would u advise then if the out door temp is 40 or below to pull them from the garden repot and bring Indoors for the winter? I'm trying new rosemary plants this year for the 2nd year and so don't want them to fail.
My rosemary plant is dying it’s turning black but that’s because I have it in a small pot inside my house on the counter top where it doesn’t get much sun light. Hopefully when I replant it outside it will come back to life. It’s the same thing with my lime Tyme. I am good at killing plants but not growing 😅
I wonder if I may be overwatering. My Rosemary is drying out and everything else is spot on. Maybe I shouldn't water it everyday. My Basil is doing well though in the same bed.
I can confirmb Don't water it daily! I have it in a large pot, 15-20 degrees outside during the day since weeks and I only water it once a week. Finally it holds up and doesn't get the brown needles...
I would recommend you change pots. The woody herbs do well together, think rosemary, thyme, oregano, sage and the basil does well with parsley 🌿 and cilantro ( think of how you would use them in cooking too) the wood herbs god in when cooking to release their oils and the others are for garish and finishing herbs after your done cooking. I hope this helps ❤
I live in Southeast Asia, and I was able to grow 2 rosemary pots. the 3rd one didn't survive. when I bought it, the soil was clay. I removed most of the clay soil but not entirely around the roots though i was able to mix perlite and other rocks to make it log free. now it's dead and i see white coloration on its dried leaves(needles). I should have completely removed the clay soil.
0:16 My mother in law went to the lake for a few days and left me in charge of watering all her plants. She has a rosemary bush in a pot outside and she waters it twice a day and it was doing good. I didn't water it twice a day just once a day and now it is dying. We live in Florida and while she was away it got up to anywhere from 90 to 100 degrees with no tain for about 4 days but I did water it at least once a day. Why is it dying? Please help, she is very upset with me.
Rosemary thrives in full sun and hot temperatures with high humidity, and doesn’t need to be watered again unless the soil gets dry. Once the soil is dry, water it
Thank you for that information and liking my question. Told her this and she thinks it should be watered everyday. She has let it dry out some and in my opinion it looks like it's coming back....yay 😀.
I took so much care of my rosemary and it was doing great but due to some reason I forgot to water it and put it in sun for 5 days and now it is getting drier every day and that hurts. Now I am watering it daily and putting it in sun too. Don't know what to do
Anybody can help me? Im new to gardening and i did a huge mistake on my rosemary. I repot them in a hot day and now the leaves turn brown and fell off leaving only dry branches and few brown leaves. I dont really water them differently bc i heard that it could just make it worse. The rosemary i had is also quite young bc i got them in a starter plant. What should i do?
@@Soundtracks92mine is turning brown after putting it outside. It’s in an outdoor garden area with a ceiling overhead but it does receive sunlight from all directions, my mom is the one who waters it usually after checking if the soil is dry
@@yunidelarteRosemary should be treated like a desert cactus. It needs 6-8 hours of direct sunlight a day, and you rarely ever need to water it. I know a guy who owns a giant healthy rosemary plant and he’s had it for years, and only watered it once. It thrives in hot temperatures
We had a terrible freeze like 3 degrees below zero or even lower , my plant was still doing ok , then one day I go to look at it & it’s brown, I ran my hands through it & still feels like a plant , not dry or falling apart , what do you suggest I do , leave it alone or prune it ( not in ) cold weather ! I’ve taking some cuttings to get new plants ( 5xs ) with no success, now I’m devastated if my plant dies 😢 & the cuttings don’t root ! Please help me !
This sounds like what mine did I just bought 5 new ones to redo this yr. I'm thinking it's due to too cold Temps and they need repotted from the garden but I've seen have rosemary bushes that is not possible to add to pots mayb to do this the first few years until its established real good then cover thru winter I didn't do this either last yr.
This is the most informative rosemary video I’ve seen by far. Very direct and straight too the point!
...and wrong. His soil recommendations were essentially the opposite of what is actually required for rosemary.

You could also just set the whole pot outside.

Basil LOVES water but Rosemary, not so much! :)

Overwatering as much as underwatering will kill any plant 😊
My rosemary leaves are turning black and falling off. Should I repot it?
Make sure your rosemary gets full sun and high humidity, and only water it when the soil gets dry
Check your soil. Might be waterlogged causing the root to rot
Maybe your rosemary plant is goth

Same here
What about rain season will it get spoilt when there is excessive water or should we keep in the house balcony.
Keep it in the balcony.
I live in California and have a very large rosemary bush planted into the ground. I’ve had it for 20 years and now it’s drying out and dying.
yup, all essential points

Mine was doing fine inside until I put it outside and that’s when it started wilting.
How often do you water it, and is it in full sunlight?

Just planted my outside in Ga and there only 2 stems still alive from Christmas deco.

Use honey on the cuttings to encourage growth.
A tip…if you are getting yellowing even though you are doing everything right, try watering with a dilute epsom salt solution.
So did i miss the outdoor rosemary info?
You probably just saved my new rosemary plant, t.y.
My Huntington Carpet Rosemary is DYING!
👍👍👍
🥰😍🤩🤩😘😘
Im so frustrated that my rosemary wont survive
Make sure it’s planted in well mulched soil, in full sunlight, and don’t water it very often. In fact, Rosemary can go years without much water
Nada nuevo.
