This is good stuff! I still struggle with matching shots a lot. I've been using the RGB Parade to really help me make sure things are close and not too far off from each other. Color correction and Colorblindness do not mix at all! Do you know if there's a way to mask out just someone's face so that only their face shows up in the scopes? Matching skin tones is the hardest for me, because I've never been able to tell if someone is blushing or not, so if their face is too red or green I don't know. If I could do that, at least the RGB Parade would let me know. Good luck with parenthood btw! Hope all is well. :)

Thanks for the helpful video. I don't know whether any one pointed this out, but it would be helpful to point out which area of the clip you're referring to when you mention Shadows, Midtones and Highlights. It's a small thing, but quite helpful in understanding what you're looking at when making adjustments. Lastly, how do we know when there's enough contrast? Thanks again.

O.M.G! Thank you. This is exactly what I have been struggling with. Your the best Matti. I will reward both of us by purchasing you color grade course, today.
One question though. Sooooo you used the adjustment layer only for the purpose of adding the LUT? I have been using adjustment layers to adjust groups of similarly shot clips, in between layers. But I often end up with a ton of tracks, depending on how much conditions change, how many cameras, or multiple shooting days. Is that wrong? Oh also I make the colour corrections to the adjustment layer, not the clips. Seemed smarter that way. 😬
If all these question are answered in the course, sorry. Lol

I have checked various other videos for this subject. It is the best by far. A quick question popped into my mind though. What about camera settings before actually shooting the clips? It would really ease the pain during color grading, I believe. For instance, in my case, a scenario of an interview with two cams (GoPro Hero4 + Canon 80D) with 5500K lighting. any suggestions for cam settings?

There's also another Scope that I find useful in Premiere (I don't know what it's called now, but it's similar to the Vectroscope and you can have it next to the other scopes). It's basically a Vectroscope on Crack, creating a much easier to read representation of colors that might help some people. Doesn't hurt trying it out.
