The Scarborough RT is getting really old after it has been serving the east end of the city for almost 40 years. In September 2023, during the farewell event, there were two trains parked in the station and everybody was standing on the platform watching the train serve the line 1 more time before it was completely gone and after the event, all stations on Line 3 were permanently closed. We all cheered for this small train that served the east end of the city for almost 40 years. The 2003 YORK REGION TRANSIT retired a year before the RT closed down and the MiWay 05s and 06s were retired around the time the TTC was closing down the RT Line that opened back in March 1985.
