- The first No.1 single for the Dixie Chicks (now The Chicks), this was released in 1998. It was written by Mark Selby and Tia Sillers. (And, I'm sorry ... I've got a cold, but The Seasons waits for no man (or woman). I also seem to be slightly out of sync, which I don't think has anything to do with having a cold!) If you play the ukulele - badly, like me, or "properly" - please come and join us at seasonistaforu...
I could make a joke about a red light, but that might be classed as offensive...so I'll just say you've really strummed that one to perfection Val.
RED LIGHTS!?! What ARE you implying, Sir? (Many thanks for the listen, Steve ... I was definitely all "strummed out"!)
Powerful performance,! Great one, Val!
Many thanks, Berni ... much appreciated!
Hpla Limousin. Muy bonita canción y muy bien interpretada. LIKE4. Nuevo amigo SUSCRITO. Saludos cordiales desde España y feliz fin de semana
Hola, Navarro(?) Muchas gracias!
You're on fire!
Oh, dear ... I suppose I am! (Many thanks for the listen, Sabine!)
A new song to me, sounds good!
Thanks so much for the listen, Ylle!
I didn’t think you sounded out of sync Val. This was fantastic. I’m tired just watching that strum though
Well, thank you kind Sir ... and thank you for the listen! (I think that strum WAS a trifle taxing.)
Adopts Sting voice:….”Rox-Val! You don’t have to put on the red light! Etc etc…..”
A stonking good song to pick Valerie! 👍
I have no idea what a "Sting voice" sounds like ... and I've just remembered that my Sister-in-Law used to work for him. (One useless piece of information!) Many thanks for the listen, John ... and I LIKE the red light!
I really like George Michael's cover.
Val covering a band who famously got in trouble for expressing their political views...🤔🤣 Sounds about right! Personally, I think you look smashing in red! I'm always impressed by your ability to successfully bring a song that you've never heard before in such a short time. Nice one, Val! And thank you!
Whoops! Yes, I read that this morning ... how totally ironic! (Thanks, Bob!)
