my platic taillight cover is cracked can i just replace the cover? can it be removed from taillight or is the taillight one whole unit?

Does the brake light bulb fit the turn signal bulb?

It depends on the car and the type of bulb. The brake light bulbs in most cases have 2 filaments inside them: one for when you press the brake, and a second one for when you turn on your regular lights for night time driving. The signal lights on an Altima don't illuminate when you turn on your night time lights.
I guess technically if both brake and signal lights use the same sockets and bulb size, they could fit in properly.
