At one point Simon Goodwin was talking to Tim gilberts and it hit me that this was two of the people that got me into making games as a teenager. I didn't speak to either (terrible social anxiety) but just seeing them still getting a kick out making things more accessible made my day.
Oh wow! That's awesome! It's a pity that you didn't get to speak to Tim because he's an affable chap and would have loved to have heard this! I'll let him know for you. 👍
Meeting the team behind the Spectrum Next was just fabulous. Amazing stalls, access to retro indie developers and brilliant panel talks. Plus seeing a 45-minute preview of The Rubber Keyed Wonder film by the Caulfields was epic.
Cheers for doing this overview, Nez! We’re glad everyone had a good time and it was cool to see you again bud! Exhausting work but plans on more are underway!
It was amazing, Craig! Absolutely cracking event. It was great to see you too! I can imagine the effort that went into this was immense but it was well worth it. Everyone I spoke to commented how good it was. Looking forward to future events! Keep up the great work, fella!💪🏻🕹️👍🏻
Thanks! It was a fabulous day wasn’t it? I’m still buzzing from it now! You need a stall sitter! The Spectrum Next team have got one but, unfortunately, it’s me!😂
You briefly got to see my triple display stand on this video , so glad you record it for prosperity great video , on my triple stand there was the game way of the Exploding fist . With the different various outputs you had a composite the scart lead output and the one in the middle was the HDMI , the challenge was could people tell the difference
I really wish I’d taken time to video more! I was just having too much fun talking to people! I saw the Exploding Fist stand but every time I went near it, someone was on it!
Nice overview of the event, thanks. I came here looking for some footage as I have a ticket for this year's 2023 event in Kenilworth. Wasn't sure what to expect, but now I do. Should be fun! 😄
I didn't realise Malcolm Evans was there. Apparently he was ok with my remake of Trashman. Would have been good to see him in person. I never go to these things though due to my crippling social anxiety. LOL. It's a nice thought tho.
I left just before Malcolm gave his talk (I couldn't hear the talks even with hearing aids turned up unfortunately) or i'd have collared him for a quote Caff :)
Yes, it was a struggle to hear some of the talks, for sure. I believe they were all recorded though so hopefully the team will make them available at some point! 🙏🏻
Looks like a huge success to me! Anyone has a taste for more like this? I do! Sad I wasn't able to be there - with all ByteDelight goodness.. Will be next time!

Couldn’t agree more! An amazing day and the ability to talk to those people that created the games we know and love is just fab!
It was a great day. Well done to everyone involved in organising it!
It was indeed! They did a fab job!
Was a really well planned and well run event. Was a pleasure to be part of it and hope for many more like this in the future 😊👍🐻
Agreed. Really, really good event. Can’t wait for the next one!
I never thought I'd be playing Bomb Jack on a giant projector next to a C5 in 2022.
Or losing the Bomb Jack competition, because I won it! 💪🏻🕹️😂

It was a super day! Maybe you could make the next one? If so, I hope to see you there! 🕹️👍🏻
Great little overview of the day! And what a day! One of these events, I won't be stuck behind my stall and I can come have a drink with you mate.

@@steveparkes Cheers man I appreciate that. Hopefully all the talks and panels will end up on RUclips and I can check it out that way.
He seemed like a thoroughly nice chap! Amazing to get someone like that to come to the event!

Fingers crossed!
Nice vid. Would loved to have listened to Kevin Tom's.

You’d have loved it TJ! Hopefully the panel talk recordings will be made available by the team at some point.🙏🏻
Nice to see this event being archived. Nice video chap.
Thanks! I wish I’d taken more footage but I got distracted talking to many, many people!
@@SpectrumNez yea same with me too.😆
Very realistic graphics on the football game at 04:30 👍
Yeah, I think that’s the Spectrum Next version… 😎
Looks like a huge success to me! Anyone has a taste for more like this? I do!

Every weekend would be good for me!😎. Bring your ‘proton pack’ to the next one!😉
@@SpectrumNez I will! It's gathering dust now, we need more ghosts to shoot at!
Oh, why not connect a Sinclair laser gun to it? Yes, laser, I modded it a bit...
@@ByteDelight Awesome! Can’t wait to see that!
Brilliant! Can this be our official video?
Of course!🤗
