  • Practicing punches and kicks combinations is essential to create openings, and land strikes on your opponent. These are examples of patterns you can drill so they come out automatically when needed. Instruction by Patrick Fulop. Enjoy!

    I love your channel! Solid material and since I am not in a class (as of yet) these videos really help guide my own training at home. Just out of curiosity- what styles of martial arts influence these videos that you make? Again, I really enjoy your channel.

      Thanks a lot, Daran Brock! Our EMA curriculum is based on techniques from Boxing, Muay Thai, Wrestling, Judo and BJJ, with some influence from Kung Fu and Krav Maga. Much more good content to come!

      Thanks for your comment, LALIT KUMAR. I am not a karate practitioner, but my best advice would be to go visit all the martial arts schools in your area and see which one seems to offer the best curriculum, service, and most welcoming atmosphere. And keep on watching our videos and training on your own, you will improve much faster! All the best :)

      Of course, come in with an open mind, always do your best, and be sure to go progressively, as to leave time for your body to adapt. Practice well :)

    couldn't your opponent see that backfist coming?

    • @EffectiveMartialArts
      @EffectiveMartialArts  7 лет назад +6

      Of course, in most cases with combinations it's not the first strike that will land. The opponent will block, which will create an opening for the other strikes. No technique is perfect, there is always a way to counter, so it comes down to which opponent has the best skills.

      You’re right, always be aware of the possible counters. Check out this more recent “How to Kick” video, version 2.0, and let me know your thoughts!
