Hardy seriously is one of the biggest legends of the sport! I'm 18 and been bodyboarding for nearly 5 years now, 3 of these five years i've had a born to boogie book with hardy's spin in to the barrel at chopes spread out over my desk. Always wanted to come for one of the camps so hopefully I can next year. In fact just yesterday I got a yellow/blue/white VS that was ryans pro model board back in 2012. The thing is in incredible condition and cost me the equivalent of 60 aud from facebook marketplace! Already ridden it and its going absolutely amazingly! Thanks for blessing our eyes with your riding!
Nice!!! Its always a pleasure to listen to Hardy! Im one of those 40 year olds that grew up watching you guys bodyboard. Thank you for another great episode!
Epic one boys. Hardballs is definitely one of my biggest influences and in my view the top 5 who has ever ridden the foam. His hard charging ways definitely laid the platform for others to go big (and bigger) and along with Tamega definitely shaped the landscape for the next generation who are quite simply next level. No need to name them, we all know who they are. Thanks Hardballs!!
@ Pretty disgusted in myself for not mentioning the OG Stewart though! Back when I first got into Dragging the only footage you could watch him on was a surf video called Follow the Sun. Showing my age lol
Hardy is the goat of style, love the podcast, ur episode with jdm was sick too, cant wait till he fights for the title, 1-2 more fights and he's got it, both have tremendous style... @30:16 min, sickest shot of getting lipped, looks like another universe for a second in the actual lip
I'll never forget seeing that shot of Hardy's giant invert at The Box when he was about 15. We all thought: "Oh, shit... Gene's little brother is a ripper!"
I did meet muffit on puerto on the 2005, the guy full of beens, thanks for this videos you all legends to me, still a bodyboarder, And also I’m 40 now I grew up watching this guys gettin huge ramps and big barrels on videos too, the tension legacy, thanks Chris.
I had a few goosebumps moments listening to hardy. That supersuck swell in 2000 we were the only boat at Deserts.. And i would have to say, ya missed it!!! Long live the Hardy family.
The eyes is an awesome insight. I race motorcycles and everything you do to is based on where you are looking. Your bike will go where you look… watch the moto GP guys and where there heads are aimed to make a corner exit.. aweome !
6:04 Ghetto bird is Nollie Hardflip Backside 180 (popularised by Kareem Campbell in 90s) - still a rare trick in skating to this day. The trick you are learning is Hardflip Backside 180, a far more common trick (Aurelian Giraud, Chris Joslin) Still a sick attempt Whitey! Great chat with Hardy.

I interviewed Hardy in 2012 during the first year of the Itacoatiara Pro, in Brazil. It was a really cool opportunity! My respect!
Stewart the all time for me, with Hardy and Kingy right up there.
