[Industry Ghostwriter] Reacts to: Eminem- Bad Guy (REACTION)- INSANE STORY TELLING. AND THAT ENDING?

- Talk about a masterpiece. Eminem came full circle with Stan and closed out this chapter perfectly. Yes I know I late to the party but this was awesome to finally hear. Eminem went vintage shady for us and vintage Marshall Mathers in the same song. That bridge out was insane.

The last verse was the best diss towards Eminem ever made. Only him could do it.
“I’m harder on myself than you could ever be regardless”
So true 💯💯💯💯💯
@@careless-minds "I Bully Myself cuz a make me what I put my Mind to"
@@Darkstar_Dayne "you couldn't diss me with the shit I wrote you"
@@careless-minds you have been so happy 😀 your day 😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊
Fun fact: 9 hours and 45 minutes was the total length of his discography up to this album, which means Matthew listened to everything Em released right before this. A true Stan.
exactly how I pictured the dude who actually broke into EM's house a while ago lmao, dude essentially acted out this song. EM saw it comin, too bad his community security guards were sleep and didnt😂
Wow I didn't know bout that. Eminem put Master in piece.
Bars!
@@ericmiller9331 They were sleeping 😴 on him. The closest ones never see the greatness in front of them
Nice catch!
DAMN......thats a catch bro......RESPECT
The guy that broke into Eminems house was named Mathew also...so it's crazy weird
I've heard this 200 times and I still get chills at that last verse. In my opinion easily top 5 verses he's ever had.
Absolutely
I debate with myself about putting at #1 simply for the fact that it was so honest and personal.. the way he hid it all behind the last verse.. the way it faded out.. all that shit.. but Therese too many other verses that I can’t demote.. best friend..the way I am.. white america.. it goes on and on..
I agree. But when he starts his verse in best friend is SO DIFFERENT THEN HE DOES AND THE FACT HE SWEARING IN A CHURCH IS GORGEOUS!!!! LOLOLOL
@@vinniewheeler5441 for me this was number 1 fosho no debate
His verse in bestfriend too 🔥
bad guy is so criminally underrated, that last verse was so good. only verse I can think of that rivals it is on best friend.
The last verse was named verse of the decade
Don’t forget Medicine Man✍🏽🐐🔥🔥🔥🌟
Bad Guy last half is BETTER impact wise that medicine man or anything!! Such a brilliant pt 2. Wish he did a music video pt2 off Stan! Bad Guy is Top Ten amazing Em songs of ALL time! AND BETTER MUSICALLY CREATIVELY, than 99% of any rappers catelog! 😎
The second verse of stay wide awake, his verse from no love, patiently waiting... top 3
@@theswitchblade2683 this verse makes those look like a kindergartner wrote them, you’re joking right lol?
@12:58, He says "New Plan Stan" Matthew speaking to his older deceased brother...Indeed.
It's a sequel to Stan, while also being about Em's anxiety about his career, while also being about trying to keep Shady bottled because he's matured past that and wants to be more conscious and serious in his writing because he knows his career is on a timer now. It's literally the rare "perfect" track for any artist. It's up there with Stan and a few others in terms of tracks that my grandchildren will hear one day and ask how it was to hear that when it was released.
Sorta on a timer but obviously he’ll never retire✍🏽🐐🔥🎯💯
@@Milkers777 it will have to be a blow out
This song is just perfection imo. It gives me cold chills every time i hear the last verse. Its so emotionally powerful and paints the perfect picture of his thoughts in his head and of himself
Shady was funny
The last verse of this track never ceases to give me chills, usually brings tears to my eyes and I don't even know why. It just hits me something different. Your reactions are awesome man. Keep up the good work.
Because someone as famous as he is being this open and vulnerable is pretty fucking emotional.. it’s inspiring but it’s kind of sad too..
I wish we could keep him in the booth till . . .I can't finish that. . . .but a long time🎉
The line about him driving around for 9 fricken hours and 45 minutes now at 3:10 or so into the song, that line is such a crazy line. Eminems discography up until this album, and this is the first song on the album, was 9 hours and 45 minutes.
That seems low; is that only his solo albums?
@@The_One_In_Black it’s infinite-MMLP2, without deluxe songs or any collaborations or features. It’s the main track list of each solo album
@@The_One_In_Blackif each album is 1 hour 15 mins that's around 7 albums. Adds up since this is his eighth studio album
That Frank Ocean line was a double. One of his biggest tracks is titled “swim good”.
No one will ever in my lifetime and Im 41 and have a lot of major influences will ever come close to the way Eminem has been making me feel since 1999. Genius poetry ❤️❤️🇮🇪
just wait until you see my skill, im growing my pen game every day, im gonna peak when i die!
When you realize it's stans brother haha I love it. Your reactions are great!
This came out in 2013 on the Marshall Mathers LP 2 album. First song on the album
I still remember in 2013 hearing this for the first time thinking “oh no he said he can never capture the lighting in the bottle again and this is the final chapter that sounds like he’s quitting”
Even though this was the first song on the album
Boy was I wrong and I’m glad I was
@@myfatassdick And I remember while I had This album on my mp3 I got stuck on this Song for a whole week B4 realizing I Still had the all album to listen to... Dam...
Happy that I'm not the only one who have goosebumps from this song. Sorry for my english i'm from brazil.
Dog abuser? Or serious clickbaiter? Either way, I don't like you
@@KungFuKendrick I use violence as clickbait to promote healthcare for street dogs and homeless people. I know it seems odd at first. But here in brazil, violence is a thing that draw too much attention and I missdirect that attention too something good.
But I respect your opinion
the last verse always gives me chills even though ive heard it 100 times
That last verse is one of Em's best verses in his career idc what anyone says
Now we need "legacy" when u opened it already😂
20:30 „gotta go almost at the bridge“ after the next line he does the bridge of the song HOLY SHIT 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Hey Cliff. When you have a chance have a go at Eminem -My Darling. It's something else. Other than that, keep up the good work!! 👊
I'd actually like him to react to "Legacy" as well, the song he accidentally clicked on lol
Love this one too and deja vu
My darling, stay wide awake and underground 3 of my faves and all amazing songs
Absolutely should do My darling. One of my all time favourite Eminem songs
I would like to see that reaction too
The last verse got verse of the decade from 2009-2019. I’ve listened to this song countless amount of times since the album came out and the verse gives me chills every time. I cannot believe he’s able to do that. Absolutely mind blowing masterpiece.
This is such an overlooked masterpiece, I absolutely loooove this song so much, it doesn’t matter how many times I listen to this song, I get chills every time I hear that last verse, it’s easily in my top 5 verses he’s ever written, that ending… God…
That line about an artist trapped in his own drawings, gives me goosebumps and paints such a vivid picture of Em as a lil boy who’s only safe place was to escape with his love for drawing to escape all the bad things happening in his life at that time…
Love Em so damn much…
This is one of my most favorite Eminem song ever. That ending gets me every time 🔥
My God..first time hearing this! I broke out in 😢 I discovered Em last year at 53 and I'm now a Stan!
He’s just that good ❤️
🤗
Same (almost) 😅
I'm exactly one week older than Eminem. Never heard an entire song of his until two years ago. Always thought he was just a bunch of puerile fart jokes and casual misogyny.
Somehow I accidentally heard this song on RUclips. That last verse *blew my mind.* I realized there was so much more to him than I'd thought. So I dug into his discography and picked up a hip hop education from RUclips reactors and ultimately became an unlikely stan 😆
And this stuff he does with these personae here and elsewhere is amazing and deep and playful and vicious and satirical and serious as shit by turns, and that's a huge part of why I'm so excited for his upcoming album.
That song that started playing is one of my favorite Em songs. Legacy. It’s a story about him growing up. It’s incredible. Btw this came out in 2013
I agree. The storytelling, the transformation you get to see where he gains confidence from his talent, the rhyme scheme. A true masterpiece.
Legacy is a beautiful song.
God the first time I heard this my mind was blown and I got chills everywhere. The Stan sequel was an amazing surprise and that alone was crazy but then that last part of the song..... That gave me chills with goosebumps. He's telling himself off..
This is the best reaction to this song on RUclips. "Tragic portrait of an artist tortured, trapped in his own drawings" is pure poetry.
I love the "I'm the pill that's too jagged to swallow" bar. Like obviously it's a double meaning on his addiction and the idiom of a pill that's tough to swallow but the way it works together is great: no many how pills you swallow, you still can't swallow this one.
More Eminem. Greatest rapper ever. I have to see him in the hall of fame. Your right he can’t be beat. I don’t think he ever will. You can listen to his music and catch shit every time. Thank you cliff.
The first time I heard the ending of this literally every hair on my arm and legs were stood to attention with the chills going down my spine, even hearing now after multiple listens I still get the chills. Absolute genius, written and delivered flawlessly
That outro is epically chilling.
Eminem - beautiful its a great song, underrated in my opinion xx might not be everyone's cup of tea but it's great xx
You're correct, no other rapper can do this, not only story tell, but make a better sequel than the original classic 20 years later. There's something different about this man, and the best dead or alive can't touch him, and whoever says different is just a hater, their favorite rapper couldn't compare, and I dare them to put their best against Eminem's shit like this. We'd be attending an early funeral after the first couple of bars.
its fuckin crazy how i can listen to Em daily and still get chills on every fuckin verse he spit
Loved the reaction
This song is just next level that second part gives me chills no matter how many times i hear it
18:02 I come back to this every once in a while to relive this feeling. The same reaction I had the first time I heard this song
Right as he goes into that "outro" you hear the car crash over the bridge and hit the water, this coincides with the airy/wet/atmospheric change and feel of the production, it almost feels like you're going under with the car. Drowning as he starts to sink into the thoughts he's conveying and simultaneously it's like he's seeing his life flash before his eyes "im your time that's almost up that you haven't acknowledged" both in rap and because he's drowning in the car
I like how Eminem be making songs that go together like Stan with Bad Guy, 3AM with Framed, or Castle and Arose
One part that not many people seem to catch, but it’s where I realized this song was from Matthew’s perspective, is when he says that Eminem “seems to be doing just fine.” In Stan, Eminem’s response letter tells Stan, “I think you’ll be doing just fine.” He says it in the same tone as in Stan. He does that with a few lines. But, this song is a masterpiece in storytelling and really, really marked a change in Eminem. Chills.
That last verse is considered one of Em's best ever. And I absolutely love your reaction to it!! I always have the same reaction, no matter how many times I've listened to it. It even brings tears to my eyes. Such a masterpiece! ❤️
Were here for it nobodys leaving half way through brother✊🏼🔥
That last verse STILL MAKES ME BOB my head and constantly rewind it every time!
Bro I'm 32 yrs old made a lot of big mistakes in my life and man I heard this song for the first time 10 mins ago and I balled my eyes out reflecting on myself.
The last verse still gives me chills every time I hear it, absolutely incredible
the third verse of this song gives me chills to this day.
That last verse is just crazy
More em bro. Love your breakdowns my guy
MMLP2 RELEASE DATE WAS November 5, 2013
I agree, he deserves flowers 💐👍 thanks for this 🙏💯
Great reaction and breakdown Cliff. I remember the first time I heard this song it took me all the way into the 3rd verse to figure the POV he was coming from. You nailed it pretty fast!

Thank you for doing this reaction this is my favorite eminem song. The story telling is unmatched and the last verse....🔥🔥🔥
nice reactions bro, keep doing Eminem we really enjoyin it cuz he always gives you something to reacto to , keep it up !!
Never heard this song before. I'm not a big hip hop fan but I do like Em's older radio stuff. Beautiful (kind of newer) is a great song too. Awesome reaction. Thank you for what you do for us ☺️
90/94 is extreme northern Indiana into Illinois before they split and 94 turns north into Wisconsin. We don't have an I-90 in Michigan but the Detroit area, where Eminem grew up, has I94, I75, I275, I96, I696, Southfield fwy., and the Lodge.
I love your passion for the writting and the artist Em is. Great reaction!
Em does a great feature in big Sean’s “No favours” ems first line washes Sean’s whole verse.
This is a work of art. My favorite Em song by far. Always chokes me up to hear the self-reflection verse. I can play it over and over without getting tired of it. Epic. Thank you for this reaction.
This was one of the most amazing reactions to music I’ve ever seen
You seem like a SUPER cool dude foreal the way you have the wherewithal to stop and start it back up, simply for looking out for us, subscribed

Damn you’re good bro! You caught on quick!💯👊🏼
Bro I’m liking your videos. Keep it up! Your reactions are genuine and I can really say I know how your feeling when listening to his music. Heard you say you can listen to him to much cos you will write like him. I’d say just listen to him and see what your writing in 6 months time 😂😂👍🏼👊🏼🔥
Great breakdown, as all ways. Please keep doing Em breakdowns. Love from Australia 🇦🇺
Would just like to say.......this man started with "Backin It All Up"........then after like 14 bars he said "Palup"....(rhymed perfectly)...then played the Rope-A-Dope with that scheme....stretching it very far I might add to use conscious in the scheme of "Palup".......then go Into a 30+ bar or brushing those syllables........just to end with "Pack A Wallop"......."Back It All Up"......DO YOU UNDERSTAND THE POETIC DEPTH HERE PEOPLE?....just like if u do....TY
This is one of my favorite schemes considering how he wrote it within this rhyme pattern as you pointed out...walk away (retire), guilt trip (could be a walk as well as conscious), baggage (what you would pack on a trip as well as emotional), all your possessions (like packing a bag and walking away from rap aka his accolades), rest your case (putting his bag down as well as finishing an argument), packing a wallop (continuing to have an impact on top of continuing the traveling scheme) love it
@@josephbattaglia6120 All excellent points as well.....thanks for adding them......so underestimated as far as a scheme goes......u just don't see current MCs do 48 bar schemes.....like WTF bro...hahaha.....
See a cliff.....I don't get the info from u....had know idea u hearted this this comment....FUCK RUclips......WHY DONT U PRESS MY VIDEOS.....CLIFF......REACT TO JASON FACE.....I JUST WANNA SEE IF THEY PLAY GAMES......AND AM ALSO SURE U WONT HATE....INDUSTRY WRITER...U R ME WITHOUT THE CONTRACT........SAUL LOVE BROTHA....JUS CURIOUS IF THEY'LL PLAY GAMES
Modern day Shakespeare! The storytelling, the imagery, the metaphors/similes and double-/triple-/quadruple entendres, maintaining rhyming/syllable schemes while carrying out otherworldly wordplay…Eminem is an artistic genius with a brain that works in a way that no other person’s brain works.
PLEASE go do the ringer!!! You'll enjoy that gem!!
what a song, what a story teller. Just magic.
Keep it coming! Good thing is that Em has so many songs so we have plenty reactions to hear from you 😊 This one is one of my favorites bcs he is so good at looking at himself from outside and be his own psychologist so that he is able to heal himself...Like in the Castle and Arose
This song is so creative he's a genius
Also 3am and framed too thats awesome annawl xx
this came out in 2013, it was merely uploaded at 2018, the album that is.
Ok that makes more sense. I was so confused
That is a masterpiece!!!!
Imma keep coming . . You're the man!
My guy 👊
Lol this song is like the sequel to "Stan" it's about Stan's little brother, the one em gave the autograph on the starters caps for, Stan's little brother is all grown up now and he blames Em for his older brother dying so the song is about Stan's little brother getting revenge on Em lol
Correct
Lol it's funny, I started typing that as I was near the start of your video, when you were unsure, but as soon as I finished typing that, I got to the part of your video where you figured out it was Stan's brother lol, I laughed and said oh shit I just typed that 😆🤣
Also ya, when you go back and re listen to "Stan" you'll hear Stan mention, "that's my little brother Matthew, he's only 6 years old, we waited in the blistering cold for you for 4 hours and you just said no" or something like that, he does mention that his little brothers name is Matthew lol
That last verse fucks me up every single time I hear this song. Straight chills all the way through it
Streetrunner (Nicholas Warwar) produced this.. won a Grammy for it.. Hollywood/Miami reppin. 954 to 305 💯
One of the best songs Eminem made. I just heard this song last year. Omg I was so amazed. Listening this song as I was working, just amazing
This is supposed to be Stan's little brother the one Eminem wrote an autograph on a starter cap for
Keep it up. Asked b4 and see someone else asking. Eminem my darling......paussse
This is your best intro to date
Dr dre ft Eminem - medicine man...Eminem nastiest verse
I love this song
Eminem;s Demon Inside is FIRE
fall, the ringer,kings never die
“Almost at the bridge”. The bridge they drive off and also the closing bridge in the song… might be a reach but it makes sense
This WHOLE song is perspective of Matthew Mitchell Stan's brother 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥💯
Awesome breakdown - do 8 mile & rabbit run - loved it
Liked and subbed bro keep it up.. fan from Australia. Before you rest your case make sure your packing a wallop.. continuing the baggage and trip scheme.
Glad to have you brother! Appreciate completing the breakdown! I was so caught up I couldn’t even get it out 😂. If you ever need me or have requests just reach out. I’m always here for everyone 👊
just found your channel, I love Eminem, been a Stan since late 90's, been binge watching all your videos today, can you react to Castle and Arose if you haven't already? also this one should be reacted to with Stan first to understand the story line.
One thing that gives me chills is how the last part is self-contemplation (as he is dying; in the trunk). I kept noticing the double but missed the tripple entendre; when he says, "But I'm backing it all up".
1> clogged toilet
2> backing everything up with facts
3> backing up his story to contemplate his life.
@28:25, true, he was a singular voice and continues to be; however, I'd say his stark rise and phenomenal uniqueness really shined from 1999 - 2003
he can go on forever

You’re so funny. Also 11:12 yes….his name was Matthew. By the way the album came out 5 November 2013 (yes, I’m British). Revival came out in 2017 then Kamikaze in 2018.
I love how the voice of Eminem or Mathew Mitchell, faded at the very end of the song to show that ‘Em was still drowning and this was what he was thinking as he dies.
No rapper would know to rhyme connect tonsils with concerts. He is one in a billion.
5:57 That was some real 'knit' wit.
