Yeah been playing since warband never really touched multiplayer just been playing single player sandbox have so much fun but might look into the multiplayer.

@@youtubeenjoyer1743 Nice opinion but its untrue the game is already released with patches coming in in longer intervals then when it was in early access its not a massive company there is plenty that still play, and they are releasing a new patch by the end of november. Just say you don't like the game and move on to other games I legit play plenty of games when I get bored from playing then always come back its fun game unless you one game it then sure complain to the devs to release more content.

@@Kuba-ew7bb The beauty of the M&B combat system is that it is very much an old school video game system: you have to get good at it. Simple to learn, hard to master. It requires timing and coordination. Somewhat like Skyrim but better, with a really nice mounted combat system.

The best part of bannerlord is that this is like 1 of the 4 popular multiplayer mods. Then on top of that you have the whole single player campaign which is fantastic as well. It’s great value for just buying the game, I have a thousand hours just across all different modes and mods.

@@memitim171 crpg, full invasion, and siege. CRPG is a progression server with pvp similar to the normal pvp (kind of last man standing tdm) but with things like levels and gold you earn every game to buy better weapons and armor. Full invasion is a wave based pve mode like zombies. Siege isn’t a mod, just siege maps with a defender and attacking team. There might also be more at this point, haven’t played too much since summer this year.
Don’t forget bannerlord online the mmo campaign and the base multiplayer that has many gamemodes and that allows server owners

cRPG also has a multiplayer campaign mode being worked on called Strategus. But it is not done yet. But as someone who played the warband version trust me it is amazing.

Mods are awesome but modding Bannerlord is a headache sometimes. Mods not supporting certain game versions, so you need to switch betas only to find out the other mod you have requires the version you just swapped from, compatibility issues, random crashing, etc.
I've found it really difficult to mod the game without completely breaking it unfortunately

Thats pretty much how every multiplayer game for him ends up being... and so he will never enjoy games for longer then a day, a week max.

I bought this game november 2022 on ps5. Ive put roughly 1500 hours into it. Its such an amazing game. unfortunately we dont have this mode on on ps5

@@killval849 yeah the only problem with PC is games like this run like garbage if you don't know what you're doing. I bought an msi gf 65 (first PC ever owned) and couldn't play even on the lowest settings without massive stutters in single player. ended up trying every option in game and it was because I didn't have Nvidia DLSS enabled. runs great now. still don't know what DLSS even is.
going from console to PC in your 30's is pure suffering.

edit: dlss=for every frame ur pc render, AI generage 3-7 more frames, so from 15-20 frames u end up 60-120, that's an nvdia technology but amd has something similar

i can't believe up until now asmon had never heard of bannerlord, the successor of one of the most classic medieval games to ever be released
M&B is such a hard game to recommend. The good bit are sooooo good but you have to be so patient and willing to deal with jank to get there. I love this game but its deff a niche.

this is great, I've had a massive battle last night in a clan, we failed to take a castle, it was amazing though, we had a commander guy who'd lead us, we've had a shield wall, archers behind etc. Also for those who wonder there's also Bannerlord Online, a mp mod that lets you raise an army, fight like in single player but it's all MMO style. You can also fight with people on the world map as you can access that and it's always "live" no pause, lots of clan battles too, i suggest if you get on it, join a clan, you get bonuses and it's 100% worth it. It's also worth trying, you can interchangeably run both mods. Persistant Empires by going to MODS in multiplayer and thicking on the mod and Bannerlord online, the same way except you run it through its own exe.
so regarding your siege weapons question... yes, you can - attackers can get trebuchets, battering rams and siege towers, while defenders can get ballistas, catapults emplaced on the walls as well as explosive ammunition for the latter (you can also just toss the explosives by hand if you see a large of enemies next to the wall)... mind you - attackers don't NEED siege towers as they can also utilize ladders, but those can be pushed off the wall, while towers provide serious protection against archers... they also have a high HP pool, but that doesn't make them indestructible, it just means they take a lot of effort to break.
I've yet to pick up Bannerlord, but I played way too many hours of Warband's singleplayer mode. Maybe it's time to give Bannerlord a try too.

Bannerlord is amazing. Crazy how late Asmon is to discover this gem of a game. The singleplayer is also hours upon hours of entertainment.
Haven’t tried this mod yet, but I am planning to. That said I hope Zack gives Bannerlord & the rest of its overhaul mods a chance. Have over 2k on this game, definitely one of the most underrated games ever. Looking forward to watching him play this.

Ive played bannerlord since it came out. Its a very nice single player experience and i never dipped into multi-player and honestly this is the greatest thing ive ever seen. Never expected to see it on an asmon vid
As a Player of this mod the last 10 months, it would deffenityl be great if asmund brought a zerg army on Sunday. not only for the content but maybe some of thouse players will stay and join the community. bigger playerbase more fun for us who all ready play the game!

Currently the game is pretty laggy because of DDOS issues, so expect lags for tomorrow guys
However it used to run pretty smoothly before these issues
also the mappers keep making maps withou an idea of how amounts of Polygons on the server affects performance. in this video it was an old map not to big that was very well made. in the new maps, mapers just cram in a shit tone of props to make it cool and it tanks the server performance
@@TheBfredrik Maybe they should limit the amount of polygons a map can have so map makers can have a threshold they shouldn't pass with props.
Nah, they just let them do whatever and then just drop the most laggy maps on you even after you beg them not to. (Although the mappers do it for free and put a lot of time into them.... they just aren't professionals) @@Exknight2

While Mount and Blade II Bannerlord can be good in some places, most fans prever the previous installment Mount and Blade Warband. Graphics are worse but melee combat is better there.
@@ToastersChannel correct. M&B and Warband are pretty niche as well, so the fact a lot of people haven't heard of them or Bannerlord isn't surprising in the slightest.
I don't know about "most fans". I also don't see how the melee combat is better considering it seems to mostly be the same combat. @@YawnWoofDog

This game is Bannerlord. Mostly a single player game.
Massive awesome game.
Pretty sure this is modded online. Never played the online mode.
You lead a clan, work youself up from peasant, to merc, to Vassel, to King and take over the world. You can also choose to be a bandit leader instead or a professional trader.
You command an army you build youraelf, fighting along side them in open battles, attack or defend castles/town
Asmon editors 100% know what they are doing with this title
I've done 1 organized clan battle in bannerlord standing in a line and firing muskets at the rival clan. we lost and it was terrible, but I'll never forget it. It's very easy to create memorable moments in that game though. I have so many great memories from just ordinary battles. It'll always have a place in my heart
one of my all time favourite games hands down. combat is awesome and the single player is top tier gaming
Would love to see Asmon play this. A singleplayer campaign would be great to see too, one of the best SP games out there.

Numbers don’t guarantee wins in mount and blade it’s all on your gear and character stats 500 peasants vs 100 or 150 vlandian banner knights and the knights will win every time if the game doesn’t get bugged during the sim.

Im so glad this is getting mainstream attention. Persistance for warband is one of my most treasured gaming memories. Glad its even larger and more nuts in bannerlord.
Reminds me a LOT of Dark Age of Camelot. The original one, not the NFT Bait n Switch Unchained one.
Warband had a great mod that turned it into Shogun era Japan and you got to work your way up to Samurai etc. was a blast. I was hoping they would make the same mod for Bannerlord but haven't seen it. Good luck in MP. Your gonna get wrecked.

I've been playing Persistent Empires last couple days and its fun when lots of players are on. Asmon coming on the server and being like the Mongol Horde would be a ton of fun.
And in response to whoever said "it would ruin it for everyone else", you are just completely wrong. A lot of the time people in full armor and good weapons are just waiting for something to happen, it would be a ton of fun for them to have something to do, as long as complete griefng doesn't happen.
This is, without a doubt an instant fucking classic. The concept is legendary, it's literally perfect.

I must be fun for him to be a commander and giving orders in the battle.
If its an army of 700 single player asmon viewers vs 2k hr multiplayer chads that play mount and blade since warband I don't think there is going to be much success here. The combat is difficult and there are metas. If you don't know what you are doing you get bonked in 2-3 seconds, or even stabbed by a horselancer without you even hearing him riding up behind you.

This mod can be grindy I don’t think he realizes how much preparation goes into those sieges. Days of grinding for good armor and weapons. It’s not something that can just be done in a weekend.

Should have played the Battleground mod. 50v50 captains mode is much closer to singleplayer battle experience.

Feels like Dark age of Camelot, minus the magic. You know... I heard they fixed a lot of the stuff they messed up with trials of Atlantis. I wonder if Dark Age of Camelot ever managed to get back on its feet?
You guys know that when Rome invaded countries... it wasnt fun for the other soldiers because it wasnt fair! the ending was so funny. Asmon literally about to roll into the game like Asmonader the Great....

I've sunk 300 hours into the single player campaign. I'll probably sink another 3000 hours into it. Bannerlord is the greatest game of all time.
It's even better with mods.
It's a multiplayer mod added onto Bannerlord, hence some weird systems.
