An excellent run, nicely handled. Lovely job from Caledonia Works too, really detailed. Hope it won’t be too long before we have the real thing in steam again. Cheers and keep up the great work - Alex.
Its not too bad tbf, although suffers a little again with that whole exhaust-wheel sync (as most CW engines do...). Also, someone who knows a lot about the Adams radials said that they gained twin slide bars, and that the East Kent Livery is basically just the Drummond livery, not the one depicted on models.
TBH its better then the DT version and yeah i did pick up on the sound but again TBF for an ONLY survivor of its class it extremely hard to find to find sounds from the real thing since 488 was last in steam back in the 70's and 80's for this occasion ill let that one slide 😅
Caledonia Works’ models are very uh, mixed imo They charge 19 pounds which is about 25 US dollars for me plus tax for about 4-6 liveries of a locomotive. The exterior of their locos are an A for sure, not Bossman Games level, but they looks great, although some detail are quite fake-ish looking The cab is a B- for me. It looks fine, but the lack of interactivity compared to other 3rd party model makers like VW and BMG is quite embarrassing, like you can’t even move the water gauges or drain them. The cab lamp I hate so much because it cuts my fps by 15-30 and the fact sometimes windows can’t open is just not acceptable in this time and age. The physics is a C of their overall catalog. Their models pre-2022 or so don’t even have a simulated steam chest. The water injectors are way to simple for my liking. The overall driving of the locos is much better and the tractive effort and speed are quite good. The sound is a B, the locos with SSS sound are decent but not by any means their best work. Models without their sounds aren’t bad, but not impressive. Sometimes they even reuse sounds like whistles from other models. Effects like steam and cocks are just ok so they get a B. Some models looks better than others but some are just disappointing. The lbscr e4 doesn’t even have steam coming from the C.Cs. when they are turned on. Sometimes the exhaust will absolutely yeet the used steam into the air. Overall, they’re B tier compared to VW and BMG and even older models from Just Trains. I still buy from them, but they aren’t the best by any means

Hi and thank you, I have heard talks about it going into the workshop after the Atlantic has come out, so keep your eyes peeled 🙂
