Follow me along as I tagged along on Fellman Dave's plan for a wild camp on Ben Macdui and a tour of the 4000'rs in the Cairngorms. It finished a bit earlier for me due to a combination of fitness and gear errors but I enjoyed some nice winter camping conditions all the same. It was a great chance to try out Nortent's LY tent connector sleeve, see the Tarptent ArcDome as well as test my Mountain Hardwear EV2 and Pretents Border tents.

Nice one Andy. The EV2 certainly looks the business on a snowy mountain summit. Brought back memories of my first trip onto the Cairngorm / Ben Macdui Plateau in winter with my parents over 60 years ago 😊

Cracking video. Nice wee surprise seeing fellmandave. Good to see proper campers out. This time of year the camps are so much more enjoyable when you get some company to chat too. ATVB Robert

great effort Andrew ..when it comes to winter camping the extra kg's in a tent make a massive difference in my eyes ..well done and look fwd to the next 1 👌

Nice one, Andrew. You can see why the mountains are so dangerous for experienced as well as inexperienced hikers.

Just got back Andy, and we completed it. That was a hard 23 miles with 1000's of metres of climbing. Just checked, my pack with food and 1L of water was 21kg. It was worth it, though, and it was great to get a couple of nights with you. Next time we'll do not such a tough one, eh?

Well done chaps , I never want to carry that pack weight again, twice my norm 😂 but worth it just for the one nights high camp. A

Subbed to Fell man Dave a long time, though don't comment much (the same with your channel). Looking forward to his video.

Good video, enjoyed that. What is the parking situation there overnight, is it free or restricted in any way. Something I've noticed recently is council trying to highjack parking spots with fees
