just a question as im new to this, if I record on UHD 30fps shouldn't I add on the timebase at least 29 FPS or would I have this result you mention if I add 23.9 knowing that all my cameras are set up on 30? thanks so much in advance!
Terrific tutorial. Appreciate that you don’t just say things like “set to this value . . .” but you explain what a setting means and why a particular value is appropriate. As an intermediate-level Premiere user, I’m looking forward to watching more of your videos.
Firstly, I would like to go ahead and appreciate the fact that you came back and made an updated video for 2023. I have issues with my video uploads to youtube after they have been processed. I noticed a depreciation in quality both at 1080p as well as 1440p. I have high quality recordings from the jump as well as great quality even after rendering from Premiere Pro *at 1440p REZ*, until youtube happens. I record gaming videos for racing. What settings would you recommend?
very nice and informative tutorial... nice showcase, straight to the point and no time wasted. thank you very much! you earned yourself a new subscriber :) have a nice day
Liked and Subscribed. I typically have two export needs. RUclips and Laptop for presentation. The latter should have the highest settings. Any feedback would be appreciated.
Hey Kellan, thanks for the great content! I have a question I’m hoping you can help me out with. Im new to premiere pro and I’m wondering what sequence settings I need to use? I film my youtube videos using gopros at 1080 and 60fps because the 60fps seems to make a smoother video with less motion blur when i look different directions. The problem I’m having is when i create a 23.976 timeline and convert my footage to match, I’m getting a lot of motion blur and the quality is just not as good. Is there any tips you have for me as to what i may be doing wrong? Ultimately, I just want to film/edit in the correct settings and sequence to make smooth action packed videos with low motion blur.
Thnks for the video! ❤️ what is the highest export through tv to watch for a client 3840, is this quiktime or another one that can recommend instead of 264? thank you very much
Another question, what happens if you do not set your sequence settings right? could that potentially cause the rendered file to lose its good quality when processed by youtube?
Thanks for the video, can you please tell me what to do when its "showing clip is not matching with the sequence setting" and there are two options "keep existing setting" and "change sequence settings". please help.
thanks for the tutorial. My case is very specific: pulling in HD .mov scans of 16mm film which I'm editing high def but eventually exporting either to Blu-ray Disc or converting to 720x480 to export to SD DVD. The video files are at 23.97. What are the best sequence settings for the editing process? Do I choose square pixels or HD anamorphic 1080?
Great, but where did the actual SEQUENCES go?? Let's say I duplicate a sequence. In previous versions, I would control click on it, duplicate, and a copy would be made below then I could rename and change settings etc. That entire panel is gone! There's no sequences to duplicate. Just the one I stared with. The sequence editor is there but the list of sequences (I really wish I knew what it was called" is gone. I only see Media Browser, Libraries, Info, Effects, Markers and History.
Seriously, you're not answering those questions people are asking you. The issue with black bars in your videos clearly comes from your habit smiling when you edit your videos Kellan. Now unless you learn to keep your eyes open when you smile. they will just have to live with them black bars. Because clearly, you not smiling and editing is not an option.

What issues can surface if you do not select Apple ProRes LT in the preview file format? I use a mix of 24, 60, and 120 fps.
thnks
Hi, the settings you adjust are they regional as in for USA/UK?

Just choose keep existing settings. As you are keeping the existing Sequence setting to edit your video.

Isn't enabling Maximum Bit Depth and Maximum Render Quality going to make the timeline preview lag?
What about 4k settings?
This works with iPhone footage as well??
Why VBR 1 pass? I’ve heard others say 2 pass gives better quality? Of course it takes longer.
Help me, the sequence menu display is too big so the OK button is not visible, is there a solution?
How about horizontal ig reels ?
I have a problem in my sequence settings its not scrolling and minimize what can i do i’m stuck in this problem
You didn't cover the audio codec options, as far as I can tell. Recommendations?
that intail screen is after you start new project i assume !!!

Does it matter what settings your sequence has when exporting? Does it matter at all, or are the export settings all that really matter?

Couldn't get out the sequence panel once I created preset...WIERD!
Explain why you make your choices, don't just say "I check X, then I check Y."

I don't understand that the video would be better later. Much worse quality than the original video
Tx so much❤
