Best way to save money and buy high horology hidden gems is research, great selection bill, the HW is beautiful, but the lugs are not my cup of tea. The Parmgiani is beautiful, but my favourite is that Daniel Roth, really unique case and look. That JLC surprised me, case it is a fantastic watch, tried it in an airport watch shop before. Thanks Bill.
Yes, Abdul, the JLC seems to be an 'everybody' watch. The DR is a gem. I had to sell my other DR (Metropolitan) and it went to an Auction house. I'd really like a DR Papillion! Take care, Bill
Nice video! JLC is my favourite brand, mostly thanks to their history of making great iconic watches, but also supplying advanced movements to PP, VC & Cartier. I also note that the MSRP is higher in Sweden, circa 12750 USD for that Polaris model 😢
Really, really amazing movement on the Claret; if I were obscenely rich, would just turn it around and have it on display in a case--it's not particularly wearable and that dial is um, interesting. Great finds, Professor Sanders!
Some really fantastic finds in this video Bill. I got so excited when I found this Harry Winston a while back, until I looked at the size. I think everything is spot on with this watch, except the size, 37mm is just too small for me, 39mm is my low size limit. It's a really great buy though! In my opinion the Parmigiani is a no brainer. If I had the money I would be seriously looking at the Parmigiani, the Daniel Roth and the JLC. Best regards, Brian
I can handle a 37mm (my first Oversears was 37) and my current is 37 ... a little small but not much. The DR is the pick of the litter, Brian. Take care, Bill
The Polaris is a great choice but the 60% price difference might be explained partially but the recent (insane) 30% price increase by JLC. It was around 8k last year.
hello everybody. Tell me somebody if you had issues with parmigiani with the microrotor when you put it on watchwinder. Mine even brand new just stopps after a couple of hours???
Micro-rotors work different with winders than regular rotors. I was reading about several different watches with micro-rotors (e.g. A. Lange, Patek Philippe, etc.) and they had the same problem. You may need a special setting to your current winder or a special winder. Let me know what you find-I too have watches with micro-rotors! Take care, Bill
Perhaps it would make for a good video to inspect what a "good deal" in horology is. So many factors to consider, for example: does being off retail make something a good deal, and if so, how much "off" would be where the "good deal" threshold is? Many other aspects for consideration as well, such as: comparable options in similar price range, new vs old, rarity, limited editions... Ideas galore!
Great video as always! That Harry Winston is calling my name. Well, not my name but would be a perfect birthday gift for my father.
Hi David, I agree-whomever gets that HW is going to get an outstanding deal. It may be me! Take care, Bill
Thank you for the video Bill.
Definitely some great watches to be had for very reasonable prices. 👍
I think that's what we all want Q-👁️. Hope so anyway-thanks man. Take care, Bill
Another great video from WatchArtSci. Always super interesting watches and a lot of background information, I'm a real fan. 😊👍
Much appreciated, Jack! Take care, Bill
I really like the Harry Winston Dr.!
The HW and DR are my favorites Javi. Did you click the derp-down link to the Agenhor module? Take care, Bill

Claret the real bad boy of haute horology.

@@watchartsci his creations just have that edge. He seems to not follow any rules just creates. That takes a lot of courage.
