I kind of like the implications of this. I love Macs but also love PC gaming. I'm not going to give up my gaming PC anytime soon, but I love having a Mac around for laptop use. The idea that even a pretty base 14" MacBook Pro or maybe the soon-to-be refreshed M4 MacBook Air could handle occasional gaming is pretty nice. Definitely a step up from back in the day when all I could really play on my old MacBook was like OG Starcraft and Diablo 2.
agreed! i like PCs, but my primary computer is actually a mac because of work and other productivity apps. it's encouraging to see that playing pc games on apple silicon is actually viable nowadays, so i'm hoping more support comes in the future

A cool tip here! If you were to download a virtual machine (VM) on your Mac Mini, then run a Windows 11 ISO on it, you can play the "PC" only games on your device. Without having to install apps behind the paywall like Crossover, Whisky and Playcover. 🌸🌼💐 There are VM machines like Virtualbox or VMware Fusion for MacOS. It will run as a "second computer". 💕 You can even ask AI (chatGPT) on installation methods or which application fits your necessities when it comes to your use of gaming on a VM. 😊💖
What would be your recommendation for a student in graphics design who wants to get the Mac mini m4 base model, as I already possess a gaming computer for those workflows? Should I get just the base configuration only if i want to have an entry Mac ecosystem as my desktop computer?
