It's Allen. Check the GSN Live celebration of Allen Ludden...Betty is there. The man who made up Password in his head said after the first show Betty did which was the third one that aired in 1961, Allen went back stage to him & said I'm gonna marry that woman. They did summer stock together & fell in love.
It's a beautiful love story.
Yes. He called her every night @ 11 & when she got the rabbit w/the earrings he sent her for Easter, that night she didn't answer the phone w/hello she answered w/yes.
Misinformation. She had a tumultuous relationship with one of the kids, as she was a teen and missed her mother. She has a great relationship with the other two abd reconciled with the third later in life
His oldest daughter Martha. She & her dad argued daily even when he was dying of cancer. He took her out of his will.
Allen's oldest daughter Martha did not like Betty. She argued w/her dad even while he was dying of cancer. His kids were 9, 10 & 13, not teenagers in the beginning.
This was a highly gorgeous, smart and witty woman. And that’s rare.
Someone close to her was is bound to get hurt.

@@NickMate Lance Bass is the guy & he's not one either. Some, if not all, of the videos I've seen on Betty & Allen have mistakes in them.

In another video, it was stated that only Betty's parents were at her wedding with Allen. There was no mention of the children.
Betty told Joan Rivers on her show that the only ones there was her parents, the bellman & the same man who married Grant Tinker & Mary Tyler Moore
@@lindaharris6200 I presume that Betty's parents also served as witnesses to the civil marriage. I wonder what the bellman was there for. Maybe he was an additional witness?

@@valentinr.dominguez2892 Allen was good to Betty's mom. Every year on Betty's birthday, he'd send her mom Tess a gift. He would tell her Hi doll when he would come out to do Password. Betty's dad died later in 1963 the same year Betty & Allen were married.
