Live is my favorite band of all time, with Happy 2B Hardcore (Anabolic Frolic) following close behind. The depth in his songs reminds me so much of my own life. I want to ask Ed so many questions; about this song in-particular. But worry I’d reveal too much about myself and gain nothing, or ask questions that could be considered a projection of what I already believe, meaning I’m the only one who could answer them anyways. Anyways, Ed writes lyrics that remind me of going to Burning Man for the first, and only time, so far. I started hearing things differently. Like hearing something and upon reflection you remember what you heard, but you could have also heard something else, and you don’t know if it’s your ears or your mind thats playing tricks with you. Everything’s going to be alright, there’s no precedent to fall back on, standing on the edge of time, but this too will pass, before ideals clash. I see the song is titled Angels on a Razor, but I remember Angels are Arisen. You can go to Burning and stand in line a lot of the time, and have a blast, but if you’re lucky enough to be awoken at burning man you can dance with angels between the lines. This song is just beautiful, I only heard it the twice in a row just now before posting this, but I had to say it even if it’s just a fragmented projection. This song reminds me of walking through the vale, going to heaven, and having a wonderful time, but not everyone knows they’re there, and leave trash behind. I would love to have a philosophical conversation with Ed someday, about his road to enlightenment with open eyes with questions I’ve wanted to ask for ears.
Standing on the edge of time, perfectly balanced between forever and a second ago, forever and a second from now, and the promise of that forever and a second coming.
I'm glad Live is back (with Ed) but still hope for another solo album one day! Also, this video reminds me of visiting my grandparents in Shade Gap, PA as a kid. :)
Just keeps getting better. Most definitely. Don't stop. The imagery in your lyrics and music stays out of the box and is always a refreshing turn from the monotony on the radio these days.
I've been from Zen to Taoist to Christianity- and also a 20 year fan of Ed. My dream would to be to have a conversation with him one day. Come back to Nashville Ed and let me buy you a cup of La Crema and chat!!! Loving the music too!!!! Sincerely one big supporter. FYI you should tour with TJ Harris
This song is amazing. If you listen to all his songs since he accepted Christ it is so evident to me (my opinion) that he was the voice of LIVE and all his music will always be classic. The video is the same style as some old songs, Same feel. Always connected spiritually to his music with Live before he ever changed. He's not fake and that smile is signature.I totally get this song. Especially, parting the vale and moving forward. If I wasn't a Christian I would totally get a different meaning due to the vid/lyrics but end up with a spiritual sense from it .. Adore him. my, my, my...what a poet he is! Parasite is EPIC! and so true. Zion is a warrior song for me. After you get rid of the rags and pass the vale, then there is the kingdom/hills and with that behind you...their gonna run!
I love this. I know this voice/mind is a majestic force and , i believe those who have ears hear, and can be rejuvenated and enriched spiritually by energy resonating through this lucky mans"s perspective , lyrics, rhythms, and compilations...May the force be with you ed kowalczyk that"s a hard name to spell, definitely worth knowing cause i appreciate this guy so much he should give me free passes to DTE its hard afford $260 n a bullet point at work from a slave to the system that i am. GOD bless you man! Keep on rocking in the free world.lol
If i did get to go i'd pray they play iris, n everything they've done :) LIVE United (shit ...live united ppl, what a message) almost unconceivable amazing, who knew....
I live love adore you my friend... we are from the same star... thanks for the angels...I emailed my phone #.... "orange is the old red.". ttys, bless. love, me
Divorce makes the sweet little one's suffer. Regret pains. Comfort can comes from words. The Dead man in the video gets that when that when they walk around him with sticks. This is the best song on the record. Because close is NO cigar. The Dead Man in the video is trying to tell her that, despite his hanging in the last video on the record. That is what I got from it. Use your words dead hung Man. Try. :(
I really love this guy's talent. It's a great song. The beginning passage was mixed weak- the only flaw. I don't know why they chose to have those "drop-out" moments in the song.
The new Live album is head and shoulders above this crap. Wow. It's like he has to insert spirituality into every song now. It's so forced. Give it a rest. Love this guy and his work with Live before Birds of Pray, but this is going nowhere fast...
This is beautiful!
Hearing this it makes you realise how much of live was Ed.

would be amazing to hear LIVE play this at Stage AE
Imagery perfection
God, such a good song!!❤😊

Poor Ed he deserves more views.
So needed this song today....
His voice is amazing, I definitely recommend the album.
Love you Ed! Glad you have chosen the truth and are now using your talents to share it to the world.

+Jd Reign YES!
The best voice alive.
I can't hear this song without feeling so sad. It reminds me of my first love. This was his favorite song.
Ed Kowalczyk is LIVE
❤
The music is always beautiful I've been listening since I was 5 and still going strong both live and Ed much love and appreciation.

He is a great guy. Got the pleasure to meet him a few times. Look for local meet and greet or smaller venue concerts he will usually meet fans after.
So good. Ed can't sing a bad one.

Beautiful words
Ed, please make a single/video for "bottle of anything". easily the best song on the album

The intro is the same chord progression as Otherside by Red Hot Chili Peppers...or at least it sounds like it to me
sounded like I alone to me
It sounds absolutely NOTHING like I Alone lol. Listen to the 2 songs back to back...not even close.

Eve 6's "Jesus Nightlight" Nice.
The girl looks like she could be Ed's daughter. Same eyebrows.
Untrimmed?
anyone else hear I alone in this ?? really bad
But that dude keeps following that girl around not saying anything :D
it sucks beyond words the way Live broke up
Gerard Healy they are back with Ed and rocked it in Australia last week
Not keen on this one. It might be his cheesy grin or the song lyrics themselves. Ed has the talent... Let's see what he comes up with next.
I like the melody of the song and his voice, but I wish he would stop making that idiotic grin in his videos.
The guy creeps me the fuck out. #creepypasta

+Demetrios Kanavaros Amen.
I liked his spiritually crap.
New Live is a soulless bore and New Ed is a cheese fest.
Well, at least we'll always have Throwing Copper and Secret Samadhi.
Hey man, Mental Jewelry, Distance to here and #5 (V) are all killer albums.
Even Birds of Prey had it's moments.
Endezeichen Grimm V was a shit fest your crazy and Birds Of Prey sucked too. Don't get me started on Songs From Black Mountain.
I agree the new Live is not interesting anymore, but I will say as a 20 year fan I personally like his newest album as much as I like Throwing Copper.
Michael Mango
If you don't like V then you have no taste at all.
Please don't forget Mental Jewelry...an excellent album.
