That whistle in the beginning and the scene where the old couple are bringing him to town to find a home always makes me want to tear up. Simple town people and simpler times.

The art of humankind is able to show emotions that’s what all of us human beings do. 16:05pm, 06). Seamus from Ireland,

Ah! So, throughout the whole movie, when this 'main theme' motif comes in, it is all just a buildup to the finale song "Somewhere I Belong" -- I love when soundtracks do that.

I watched D.A.R.Y.L. only once but has not left my mind. Then I saw A.I. in the 2000s. Both movies just told how robots are each day no longer science fiction but as a part of our reality. The movies may be decades apart but if there's one thing that Daryl and David share is when they both show human emotions that changes everything.

Asimov´s THE MILLION YEAR DREAM and BELOVED ROBOT fall in the same catagory

Remember first time hearing about the movie D.A.R.Y.L. was when I was little on one of my Peanuts vhs tapes. I figured it looked good and had Michael Mckean who was from Laverne and Shirley (another favorite of mine). I ended up loving the movie and soundtrack.

Showed my kids stuff from 50s, 60s and 70s tv series. Including Roots. Plus showed them films from the silent era to the mostly rubbish of today. They now have a good understanding even though they still prefer todays garbage er rubbish.

Someone already said Stand By Me so I will add Batteries Not Included, Delta Force, and the Short Circuit movies to your movie list. I was a little kid during the 80s so I was more into cartoons then, but there were so many TV shows. I will add The Wonder Years to your shows list.
