This Game Show was a weekly delight for 25 years...especially with the original cast + guest panelists Fred Allen, Steve Allen, Tony Randall, and Arlene's husband, among others like Wally Cox, and Groucho Marx.
Fantastic compilation Teddy! I haven't seen so many funny scenes since the episode where an old lady contestant who was in charge of a nudist colony came to the show :D
Glad that last one was where the panel got it. It's more entertaining when they do. Arlene must have remembered that the questioning went all over the map the prior times it was a garbage collector.
Dorothy's "pig" questioning was surreal. Mr Perkins question about whether a product ciuld be used by Men & Women was ironic. Why the gasps of horror at Bennett's question at the end?
No, you have to consider his answers in the broader context established beforehand by Dorothy: is it useful or a pure luxury. And insofar as garbage are useful instead of luxury, it is used in/around the home.
Dorothy’s question really threw them off the track. “Is it more useful than luxurious?” Garbage is 100% not luxurious, and so the slightest bit of usefulness would make the answer a yes.
Because these are funny. Also you wouldn't imagine that a nice looking girl will deal with garbage. Also they had 7 stockbrockers, if I'm not mistaken all of them women - it wasn't common back then, so they think it will be interesting and will stump the panel.
The CBS show was 17 years (1950 - 1967): 17 x 50 shows a year = 850 × 2.5 occupations a show, or 2125 occupations. @irish89055, with 2125 occupations, there must be duplicates.
I absolutely love that the garbage collector guys took the time to write, practice, and perform their song for everyone!!! So adorable!!!
They were actually quite talented, too!
THE best (and classiest) game show ever.

Arlene's husband was Matin Gabel, a Broadway actor, who died in 1986.
@@RonGersteinHe was in several movies as well, character actor. Marnie was one of them.
A great compilation with panelists that we have all loved these many years.
They were having a great time with the panel! Lol.
Bennett Cerf loved to ask the question: “Has the product ever “bean” alive?”
This, ladies and gentlemen, is real entertainment; unlike the garbage (see what I did there?) that fills our airwaves today.
Very true. (And good pun hhaha)
I Love & Adore this show..Beautiful Classic Blessing's..⚘🎚❤⭐🍑🦋

Hope those two handsome, singing trash collectors were able to capitalize on their musical talent.
That last woman was gorgeous. It was hard to believe she was only right out of high school!

Bennett: “Has your product ever “bean” alive?”

New Kensington is right outside of Pittsburgh.
Miss hemoglobin 😖
👏👏👏👏👏
The bloods...my dad's best friend died of airplane accident ..they were friends for a long time .wow haven't heard that name since I was 5?
Arlene was a very beautiful lady and she had lots of sexuality and an amazing sense of humor what a babe....
You mean sensuality
She made jokes out of turn to hog the show
Sometimes I don’t understand John Charles Daly’s answers. Garbage can’t be used around the home.
1-18-2023.
Can't be used in the home! Well, Lee Sher, garbage is 'in' the home. And 'used' is close to 'in'.

Why the heck would they keep using that same occupation?...
Because these are funny. Also you wouldn't imagine that a nice looking girl will deal with garbage. Also they had 7 stockbrockers, if I'm not mistaken all of them women - it wasn't common back then, so they think it will be interesting and will stump the panel.
Remember that this is a compilation of different shows so it’s not using the subject all at once.
For laughs
They had a lot of bull Fighters and wrestlers too.

Miss Hemoglobin? Seriously Steve?
And then LITTER! Oy vey! He was delightful but not a comic! Though he did funny scripted things on the Carol Burnett Show!
