My family is from Lancaster, SC. You can still feel the impact of the mill and it’s absence now. This is incredible
I honestly really enjoy the potato quality. When the videos are less crisp it feels more relaxed
Lo-fi book ASMRs are hands-down my favorite variety
This is so nostalgic for me. Plus the whisper makes it so much more special. Our families grew up in the textile mills of Upstate SC. ❤
I am from Irmo, SC, and when you go down to the state museum in Columbia, that state museum was actually a cotton mill
I love these history ones! Thanks Mary!
I love the history ones... it's not my history mind you (I'm Canadian!) but all history is interesting!
Thank you!
I grew up and live in Rockingham NC, we have a few working textile mills here still running! All of my grandparents worked at one, during their heyday there were nearly a dozen in our county actively running! Mill towns have some of the best history and stories! I find this both interesting and relaxing!
I really enjoy the page flipping videos! Yay!😊❤
WOO I needed some new reading tonight. What a Hail Mary. ❤
As someone living in the Fort Mill/south Charlotte area, I love this so much! 😍
Well done Mary, interesting stuff, great whisper!
Mary, I'm so excited for you to come back! Things are very different than before and having you back will make it better.
Hi 💋. LOVE the whispers ✌️💖💖💖
Thank you so much! 😊 ❤️
I did an article years ago for my college paper about the abandoned silk mill in town.
Lmao!!! I hear "I film on a potato," and all I can think of is "Its the new Microsoft SPUD!" XD
also trying to wrap my head around "second hand branch." I laughed too. it's hard to tell when certain texts from this era are changing voice suddenly, like the author felt the need to bend toward a Mark Twainy, country wit (for a single sentence), or if they were just phoning it in. maybe the author was paid by the word? subscribed! must sleep now
😂 second-hand bridge.
What does she mean by “a potato “?
