I had this played at my Mum's funeral how's that for rocking out the right way! she was a huge fan got me into K.O.L thank God she did absolutely brilliant! Rocker for life!she asked for it all the songs she had were rock.
I’ve been trying to define what makes the song - I think it might be the off beat drumming. It’s clever and unique. Also, the cheeky smile at 2:24 is the highlight of the video for me, brotherly like right there.
I just discovered the Kings this year and I have to say that I love the old and the new stuff equally. There's this raw quality in their old stuff and more of a pop-ish quality to the newer stuff.. I just hate when people say they're "sell-outs". They're not...
good bands become popular, popular bands sell lots of records and concert tickets, those sales mean a lot of money, is that classed as selling out? Because that is all they have done, put good records out that people like. I have been been listening to them since youth and young manhood came out in 2003, they still haven't written a song i don't like. The people who say they have sold out are either deluded about the way the music industry works, or bitter musicians that are jealous of their success.
I was in middle school when this song came out, and I loved the hell out of it. I remember getting excited when it would come on super early in the morning, while it was still dark outside, before I left to bike to school. When I heard their newer stuff getting more radio time and popularity, I was happy they were being recognized as a band, but I was also sad because it sounded so different from THIS album. This album makes me feel so fucking good when I listed to it, whether that's me being a nostalgic loser or not, and the newer few just fall flat for me..
Chose this as my first ever karaoke performance. Crushed it, got a high five from the DJ. Played pool with them right before they blew up. Crystal Ballroom Portland, Oregon. RIP my Pilot Miles Courtney King. ❤❤❤❤
I have been looking for this song for the last 6 years ever since hearing it in a 24 hour fitness! THANK YOU RUclips for randomly going onto the next video!!!!!
+Dank951 There's no better feeling than finally finding out a song/band's name after hearing it somewhere! An extensive google search helped me to discover Temper Trap's Sweet Disposition, some years back.
One of the most undeniably feel-good songs of all time. Will always remind me of summer 2017 when i went to Rock Werchter with my best mates and had the time of my life. damn being young is great
En fait j'ai raté cette sortie à cette époque, mais peu importe je suis tellement heureux de cette énergie incroyable. Ok je parle français si je veux.
This was the first song I heard from them, my brother showed me it back in 2005, I've been a huge KOL fan ever since, saw them in concert in 2010, epic!!!
Started liking them around 2012 and got back into them in 2015, new album came out which was walls and went to a concert to see them, best time I’ve ever had
i started to listen to KOL back in 2008. and they're absolutely my favorite band ever. i love all of their stuff, and definitely don't think that they've "sold out." they've evolved and changed their music...and probably because they've evolved and changed as people. it's what happens when you grow. it's all good :) i have all their CDs in chronological order in my car and flip back and forth between all of them. can't get enough!
Yeah it really lets you know all you need to know about them. The singer sucks ass and dictates his words like an actual window licker, but the music behind him can be pretty groovy.
People still have not realized the beauty of KOL's new albums... I'm sorry but I couldn't sit and listen to every single album sounding like Molly's Chambers, The Bucket, Trani, and Red Morning Light. Those are GREAT songs and KOL's first 3 albums are perfect, but ALL their music is AWESOME!!!!!!!! They put a twist into their sound because they wanted to have fun. If you listen to the albums that are "Oh so god awful" then you would hear this older stuff influenced in the new albums. In "Only By The Night" you hear A LOT of their old roots, especially in the song "Crawl". Come Around Sundown is absolutely great. In Mechanical Bull I heard roots from every single album, and it was awesome. I didn't like some new stuff at first, then I kept listening and it got better. KOL doesn't still suck ladies and gentlemen. They still play the stuff you love and the stuff you hate because they love it and they are making music. All their stuff is great. Have a good night.

I still love Kings of Leon with all my heart, but you have to admit, their older stuff is a lot better. Not saying the music they make now is bad, it isn't at all. But early KOL was amazing
I remember listening to this song in 6th grade band class at Thomas Pullen in Landover MD. I'm 26 now. Yeah sure the times have changed but the feeling the music gives me hasn't.
Heard this song on the radio when I was in high school in 2004 but I didn't find out the name for several years. It was one of those songs that was always in my head even though I only heard it once or twice and I was dying to figure out who it was!

I do agree, ngl.
I think they started sounding more mainstream after this album
The nostalgic feeling of joy and love they give me is indescribable
