I ordered the key fobs and the program key for my Toyota Corolla 2014. I followed this video and program 2 keys and 2 remotes under 15 minutes. I was skeptical but the whole process from ordering to the instructions on programming the devices was very easy to follow. It really works. I love how they gave the clear instructions with prepaid label that made the refund steps very convenient. Total cost were $50 for 2 key fobs and $28.99 for the program. Ordered a replacement key from Tom’s Key for my Toyota Tacoma after the dealer said that they were on back order (over six weeks ago) and that when they did come in it would be $250. It's easy peasy to program a key with Tom's programmer; less expensive than Lowe's or Ace Hardware and WAY less than a dealer. My simple Corolla key cost $70 from Tom's Key. There was an $80 equipment charge but that is refundable when it is returned in the provided envelope. I did need to have the key cut at a locksmith but that cost only three bucks.
Though the exact process wasn't as shown on the videos (this + few others) and took me a few variations (waiting longer,, turning the car off/on,,, etc) I was able to program the key and the remote. Got the key cut by a local locksmith... If I had to do it again, it might've been worth it to get TomsKey to send me a cut key (price delta was close enough for the convenience factor). Might've saved me some time if I had called/emailed also but the process isn't that overly complicated. Definitely would recommend to anyone who wants to save some money.

This whole thing was very easy. Selecting the proper key was straightforward (older Toyota: 2014 Corolla) with the info on the site. I was dubious about the method of taking images of the key and having them cut the replacement just with those images, but the key I received fit the door and ignition with no difficulty at all. Programming it was also straightforward - just follow the directions in order, they are clear. If you do the sequence of events wrong it's not the end - you just do it again until you get it right. Then you just test the buttons on the new key and mail back the programmer for the refund. Overall I think I saved at least 50% vs. the locksmith/dealer alternatives I found.
I bought a couple keys for my 09 Venza a few months ago using the correct part no. I took them to a dealership to be programmed . they start the car but the lock unlock button does not work. Any suggestions?

Will it work if you lost your keys? I went and got a master key cut from the dealership. I then called a locksmith to come out and reprogram the key. He told me that the computer had to be flashed. Will this method reset the computer to allow me to reprogram my new key?

Just take it to a locksmith. It will be cheaper than renting I from Toms
