To be honest I don’t understand why they did this considering they aren’t from earth it it seems like they speak the same language so I don’t understand why flora would have an accent. Correct me if I’m wrong but Hispanic people are not of a race they are an ethnicity right? So to ME it doesn’t make sense for Stella to have an accent
This looks like a strait up reboot of Season 1, and honestly, I'm here for it. They drove the original continuity into the ground with all the soft resets, so I'm glad to see them reboot it. Now they can tell the fairy student stories they want to tell, and have it actually make sense. They seem to be changing a few things around, like having Aisha in S1, and having Flora find Bloom along with Stella, so I'm looking forward to seeing what other changes they decide to make using their 20+ years of hindsight. Dang it, I'm old!
haha I kinda disagree as I wish they did the reboot with a new set of girls rather than use the OG. There is japanese anime that has become a franchise in this way called precure and it does a story with new girls but using the brand name. I personally don't like how the girls don't match closely to their original counterparts and Flora having an accent while its ok, it just makes her sound less calm as her voice was super soft and sweet in the original, which I loved to hear >< I will watch this reboot but I'm not sure I'll be able to enjoy it as much as the OG.
Critiques: (I’m putting this here again) - Flora has too many blond highlights in her hair (if not too many, then it’s just too bright) - Musa’s eyes should be more slanted - I don’t know why they made Musa shorter and Aisha taller (they are playing into racial stereotypes and I don’t like it) - Aisha’s hair should have been more wavy like the og (idk why they chose to put her in braids/twists) - The pink shirt clashes with her hair in Bloom’s outfit (make it yellow again) - Again with the pink, Stella should be wearing green and orange - Stella’s pigtails look bad on her (and her face is disproportionate compared to the rest of them, and where is her tan? I don’t like the design of her specter) - Aisha’s outfit does not do her justice (cargo pants or shorts would have made her look way better, as well as a cropped hood) - Their wings look like stained glass, what is going on?? Are they cosplaying as fairies lol - The trix look fine overall, but there could be room for improvement (ex. Stormy’s outfit looks too dark, and why are the chains gold? Darcy’s hair should be longer and more flowy) - Musa should be wearing more red and her belt looks weird (she’s not a superhero, she’s a fairy lmao) - Techna’s outfit looked wayyy cooler in the drafts, idk why they changed it - I liked the padded flowers in Flora’s drafts better, and her dress looks kind of off? The ruffles could use some work - The school is nice and all, but it doesn’t look very welcoming anymore (where is the whimsical atmosphere and design? It looks like a boarding school for rich kids instead of a school for fairies) - I hope the specialists are actually relevant to the plot and story, and not just there to be their love interests (and don’t make their interactions forced) - It would be nice to make one of the girls sapphic for a change? Or not have a love interest at all? I can see Techna being Aroace (not everyone needs a sufficient other) - Also Nabu better stay alive this time (and he’s a wizard, let him show off his skills) - Riven can be a jerk, fine whatever, but don’t make him an asshole (let him be sweet towards Musa for once) - I hope they don’t just drop this after making the 1st season Anyways those are my thoughts. Peace ✌️
I have a bad feeling they scrapped the early concepts with the wizards of the Black Circle and their magic winx forms cause that’s what I was the most excited about honestly. As well as their concept outfits being entirely changed (except Flora’s) which makes me think there was a lot of scrapped ideas they promoted and I’m scarred for that
If im remembering right, everyone knew how to transform right away in the og except for bloom. And i remember Stella at least had been a student the year before because her father was paying off damages from the year before
Props for making them look like teenagers. As much as I don’t agree with the critics skinny-shaming them, I do get the complaints that they look older than teenagers. Cartoons like Kim Possible and Totally Spies at the time had this habit and I’m glad they’re avoiding it
I'm really appreciating how most of the new casual outfits feel more like modern iterations of their original fits. I hope they do a little something else with Musa and Aisha (Aisha's fit feels like purely athletic wear rather than her casual clothes) but for the most part, I'm satisfied.
I wonder just how much will be different from the og. So far, the story kind of feels like it will be the same. But one change they have made is it seems they've introduced aisha right away(which id be happy about) instead of what the og did where i believe she was introduced in season 2.
I'm glad Aisha is being introduced right away. Now she can stopped being treated as an "outsider who joined late, so she's not a TRUE Winx member" by the _weird_ -racist- section of the fandom.
@@xmant8842 Flora seems to be taken a more protagonist role so this season will prolly add an arc for Flora, so the main arc for bloom, Stella ring arc and Flora arc. Another change is that they been having Flora a lot at the front she could be leader. The school has witches now and possible boys, so they might share both schools now
What I want most is that they give the trix the background and lore they deserve, and that they are no longer so flat and generic. I would even be happy to know which planet each one came from and why they are bad, and to give them an origin, like that of Icy in the eighth season, but less forced.
The trailer looks really cool in cgi! I agree that the facial looks of the characters looked off except for the trix which looked perfect👌. In the OG series as I can remember bloom first stumble upon Stella in the woods as she was face the ogor without flora so bloom then used her powers that she never knew she had, she invited stella to her crib where she met her parents then got accepted to alfea fairy college. In this trailer I find it weird that aisha is already in it because she doesn’t appear until in the later episodes from the original, Nickelodeon and rainbow had Aisha appear in the fourth winx club special and that bloom turned evil.
Yes I was gonna comment that too lol XD I think the trix are easiest to copy as their designs aren't hard to do that but the girls maybe harder with their different colours and styles.
Kinda glad they're removing the subplot of Stella lying to the other girls about Bloom's identity. Hopefully they'll remove the Sky/Brandon swap situation, too.
@@kawaiimika7974 Because Sky lying to Bloom about his identity and being betrothed is a huge red flag inna relationship, and the Diaspro drama in the series lasted longer than it should have.
