Art is soooo subjective
Aw, these are so precious. I get the negative comments based on the skill - but outsider art is such a fun and intimate look into our history. It's no masterpiece but it's very sincere and an interesting insight into the world she grew up in.
Every time I see someone talking about clementine hunter paintings I feel like I'm watching an SNL sketch.
giver her art to her family!!!!
Curious as to why she’d sign her name backwards 👀
She couldn't write, didn't even know how to write her name. A friend of hers helped her with that and that ended up being the way she decided to sign.
just fascinating.. If I painted them while I was on the toilet I would put them in the trash can on the way out.. no seriously.. fun to do but not for keeping..
A 3 year old paints like this.
These are so hideous they defy description.
Primitive art is really about what it's worth to the individual.
How about $25. each!
I know outsider art, and I don't mean to be harsh, but I have the right to an opinion: these pictures are rubbish, probably worth less than the materials used.
Because basically a 5 year old could have painted these, we just need to make sure that The 5 year old painted them. MmmOkay!
