And this is why whenever you get a mon with good pvp ivs, you hold on to it because you never know when it will be meta. I caught a 1 15 14 Raltz fifteen months ago just in case I ever needed a Gallade. That day has come.
Yeah sometimes that day comes 1-2 years later lol well at least for newer players the ones that had play none stop we have ultra am great league build already!
Big Fax! People out here holding on to pointless shinies that they are never going to use, power up nor trade away. It feels so good to have 3 Gators for both leagues all with hydro cannon ready to go as well as a Gallade for both leagues simply because "you never know, they could get a move update"... my only grievance is having to remove synchronoise on the Gallades XD
I just finished off my GL Shadow Gallade last season to see if I could make something happen in Hisui Cup. That didn't work out, but it looks like the investment will pay off for me anyways.
Thanks for putting this out, Dan. Really enjoyed the content. Have fun with the family and wishing your daughter a HBD! Looking forward to the next couple beyond the hypes
Always wanted to post it and here we go. I am a big fan of your content. And I absolutely don't care if many are posting their content earlier than you. It is worth waiting for 😉One day I might even lift my finger and push for heights in GBL. Thanks, Dan, for the effort to shed a light on slow learners like me!
One of the best videos in a while and I am glad to see you happy about something in GBL. Gallade seems really interesting. Happy birthday to your daughter as well! Enjoy the family time :)
I see some is having tons of fun in the early days! Be more happy if you can do that to a Clodsire, Charjabug, Cresselia with the same HP%! Now that will be something! Have fun!
@@memey6978 I’ll say sarcastic am true! In the early ( 2 weeks) of the season everything g works later in the season around Veteran rank you will not see Gallade bc it doesn’t work anymore! No offense intended but I find funny how players am RUclipsrs say this thing is great am by week 3-4 is no where to be find until they hit legend am then they play it again! But who knows I might be wrong
Thanks for the deep dive into Gallade! I tried this team out but found I was getting totally walled by flyers. That being said, I took your strats for Gallade and tried a team with Gallade, Lanturn and Mandibuzz and it’s been absolutely ripping. Would highly recommend it if you wanna try out another team with him!
I've had a shadow gallade ready to go for great league ever since shadow ralts debuted. Gallade has been my favourite pokemon since gen 4 and I'm so glad he is finally usable! I was hoping for counter but psycho cut is so much better
Tried Shadow Gallade today and went pretty well 3/5 or 4/5 in all 5 matchups. One-shoting a STEELIX with Close Combat (in the lead) was oh so satisfying. I ran it with Lickitung SS and Registeel closer, then switched Gallade and Regi, then put in a Carbink as closer and did not lose with Carbink despite the mudboys in every battle.
Reminded me a lot at shadow swampert while playing it. Not because of the typing ofc, but because of the playstyle. You have to really be aware about every single turn and splitsecond, and then you can get something out of it.
Almost built a Gallade but thought I should probably check to see if I already have one and I did! From 5 years ago. I then immediately queued into 2 Skarmory in 2 games with this team XD. Went on a bit of a winstreak after that though! Fun team.
Beyond the Hype : Gallade - "It's the most amazing thing in the world" lol. Jokes aside I fully agree this pokemon feels so good to use especially in this current meta. Crazy that the best "grass" pokemon in the great league are currently 2 psychic types.
I used a decent iv shadow gallade that ended up only at 1468 cp 4/13/14 with a lickitung safe swap and galarian stunfisk closer. Every game I played was fun as heck I close combatted a charizard for 90% health and also did the same to a talonflame WITH SHIELDS UP. Shadow gallade is honestly so strong and I finally have built a decent team to fight most of the water meta
About the dragons at the end. I was using guzzlord lead for a long time up to legend last season. Now I switched to haka and i prefer him way more! I think going into shield deficit and coming out with energy with claw and brick break is just so good. Just cover your fairy weakness but tbh... Fairy's are very very rare. And most fairy is azu and thes have mostly no grass. So wish safe swap
I was sad that I didn't have a shadow gallade (I accidentally evolved my male kirlia into a gardevoir.. sigh) but you convinced me to build a regular gallade, and idk if its strong in this meta, but its sure fun, im so glad.
Happy birthday to your daughter! I wasn't super impressed by Shadow Hippowdon even with Sand Attack, Weather Ball (Rock), and Scorching Sands. The water meta and the counter grass meta is too prevalent. I wish I had a mantine to try water pulse with because I think not being walled by steels is an upgrade whether PvPoke agrees or not.
Hey Dan! Can you please try out furfrou? It’s not ranked very high but it has been functioning as an interesting corebreaker in this meta. Definitely underrated. Probably much stronger for limited cups
Guess I'm gonna have to use my shadow Gallade that I was holding onto now. Figured I would pair it with Hippowdon and Skarmory, see what happens. Still don't think I'm that good of a player, but I know I have some good versions of them.
I’ve seen people running cacturne with sand attack grass knot/payback actually having a ton of success seems to hit pretty hard and gain energy quickly would like to see you give it a go!
Yeah, it's fringe at best. I tried it out and the problem is the charge moves. 50 energy way too much for a glassy Pokémon. Seed Bomb or Foul Play would be a godsend
Ive been running shadow gallade and run into a lot of steel in the back with 1 shield each. Im wondering if i can know out talonflame going leaf blade then CC rather than double cc and risk dying before the 2nd move
Gonna try this. I fell for the online hype and powered up a Shadow Hippowdon. In my first match I was farmed down by a Talonflame... This looks more promising.
But then you should be up shield if they double shield the talonflame and you one shield hippowdon. Could be rps depending on the backline. But in the 2v2 shields hippowdon wins with HP in the red.
If anyone interested in an anti-meta meta team, I've been using trevanant lead, mandibuzz swap, lanturn close....it works well against all the new buff pokemon and the overall meta in general. Most matches have 2 answers with the movesets
S Gallade is just a much better version than what S Zard was after the Wing Att buff. Even glassier, even higher attack, much better non stab bait move, even quicker nuke! This thing will dominate tournaments very soon!
I hope everyone starts running Gallade lead in UL. I almost have enough stardust to use my Vespiquen as a lead and that’s one of the only matchups it wins.
Gallade gains energy so quickly, it feels illegal to use. Especially in a 1-0 shield scenario, Gallade can freely nuke anything unless if you’re watching for a catch
43-2 isn't exactly right because the "meta" is actually missing some meta mons. Wiggly for example is definitely prevalent, but it's not there. But regardless it looks awesome to use, it can 2 and 1 shot a lot of things, even when resisted
*YES* if you desperately(AND EXCITED+LIKE) want to use them by priority charja > poli > sandslash *BUT* they are communtiy day pokemon which will have an event to evolve pre-evolution of those 3 to obtain their respective fast tm *NO* if you can wait patiently because end of this december(holy long wait) to get charja + poli fast attack *AND* sandslash already have couple of event where you can obtain by evolving sandslash *SO* wait copiumly so you can evolve to get these 3 fast attack *pokemon go is a game of patience after all either you will get more elite fast tm or event to get one HAVE FUN :D*
One thing to keep in mind is Gallade is not a new Mon back when he was introduced it was a lower house just by using Confusion… the new players better get used to him bc the old players who play in ultra am great league knows how good he is to climb in the big Ranks! Lol Man I am going to have fun time to dust off my!
There's already so many counters to gallade. Problem is even the counters shadow gallade deals massive damage. Even resisted. I just did 90%ish damage to noctowl, alarm, Dragonite. Even leaf blade to mantine, or pelliper does so much damage. (Shadow version)
I know I'm not the best player, but I can't win a thing with this team. I don't encounter anything like the opponents' teams in the vid. Yeah, I know, it's me. Thanks for the video though.
you know the game is trolling you with liki v. jynx. Long overdue vid is Jynx: Beyond the Hype. if they ever gave it pycho cut it would be OP & i'm guessing that's why they had to nerf pound. LOL. if i ever reach vet im gonna run Jynx.

GG Dan. I was the double ghost team featured in this video. 🫡
Apparently, an attack weighted Goodra (122) beats Lickitung in one shield, or something like that. Would that change your opinion of Goodra?
