My first time watching one of your reviews. Well done for a thorough explanation of what the Aura box can and cannot do. Just what a consumer like me and many others need. Thank you.
Thanks for the review👍👍 I recently bought a 4k LG TV and the Freeview Guide on there is appallingly slow. It doesn't update in the background and sometimes take 20 seconds to update a page and when you scroll down a bit it has to update again. I just don't understand why they've made the Freeview like this and I'll have to get something like this in the future. Thanks again
Good review. Disappointing about Netflix though. But you could still play Netflix from a phone or tablet by casting through the built in chrome cast. Or am I wrong.

You will need to change the LNB on your SKY dish so it's compatible to receive Freesat channels. Plus re cabling from your dish would be required if you have the twin (shotgun) cable. Re-cabled using standard COAX cable.
Great review. If i don't have an aerial is it just the apps and catch up channels that work or does Freeview Play not work at all without the aerial plugged in?

Advice needed !! I have a clunky Humax FVP-5000 (yuk) and looking at changing it for the new AURA. What I want to do is make a series of "Favorites Folders" on the Hard Drive and then transfer across any recording made from the machine. This really is not easily possible on the old FVP-5000 and REALLY hoping this new Humax machine has included some editing/re-naming functions in the software ................
As far as I can tell there's no way to rename/rearrange recordings seems set in stone in the recordings menu. I tried plugging a USB stick in and although the Aura box recognised the drive as connected, it gives no option to transfer content over to it. However there is a 'convert' option. Hi. I haven't used the Manhattan but I've had a look online. For the 1tb storage version there's about £50 difference but the main advantage I can see is the the Aura is using Android Tv so you have more apps supported and probably more likely to be added. The Manhattan doesn't seem to have any of the subscription services which for me, is important. For example the Aura box has Disney+, Amazon Prime & BT Sport....
