    Una máquina, aprendí a manejar uno exactamente igual año 1972. Mismo color con tapizado de pana rojo. Fue el segundo 125 que ingresó a la Pcia de Santa Fé

    All 125s had leaf springs at the back , as the floor pan originated from the 1500 model before , but the Italian models had disc brakes at the rear the same as the Italian 124 models. The Polish models also had higher suspension which upset the handling compared to the original Italian built cars.

      Until 1972, the Polish 125p had a rear suspension borrowed from the 1300/1500, on narrow leaf springs, without torque bars. Only after 1972 did FSO begin to install the rear suspension taken from the original 125 on wide leaf springs with torque bars. Additionally, the front suspension only received new torque bars from 125, while the anti-roll bar remained the old one from 1300/1500. In the Polish 125p the braking system was borrowed from the 124/125 with four brake discs of the DBA system, and was a bad solution having lower efficiency due to the smaller size of the brake discs than in the old Girling system of the 1300/1500, in the Argentinian 125 and the Soviet Lada based on 124 did not make this mistake and took over the more effective and less unreliable old Girling system.

    Im confused. It has drum brakes and leaf springs in the back? I thought only the polish 125 has leafs in the rear and the entire range of 125 had rear disc. The fuel tank is also like the polish version, not in the trunk?

      Hola, buenos días. En Argentina esta es la versión que se vendió. Desconozco si se vendió con freno a disco trasero creo que no.

      Yes, argentinian version had minor changes

      In Argentina, just like in the Polish version, the old floor plate from the Fiat 1500 (type 115C) was left, so the trunk floor is higher and the old type 1300/1500 tank can fit under it. In the Italian 125, the trunk floor is redesigned and sinks lower, and the fuel tank is mounted similarly to the Fiat 124. This floor was later used in the successor of the 125, the 132 model.
      In Argentina, similarly to the USSR, it was noticed that the newer and theoretically more modern DBA braking system with four brake discs is more troublesome to operate and is less effective due to the smaller size of the brake discs and than the old braking system of the Girling system from the Fiat 1300/1500, therefore it was decided to install it in the Argentinian 125 and the Soviet Lada
