Every time I hear this song, I think that it really deserves the kind of over-the-top production that Jimmy Iovine gave all those Meatloaf songs.

Very nice, even tho Neil's voice needs little polishing up, I do love the music over Please's version. I want a lover is my opinion near bottom of faves because i find the music weak on the album.

The Please version is so much better.

Hmm...I guess such is the matter with all the demos🙂PSB have definitely not wasted time between 1984 and 1986🙂

I agree. Definitly is apreciate the Stephan Hague issue. I though Bobby O was a club music productor, so this is nothing but clubber version...

you´re right Sir,the new version of this song released on the Please Album is much better, and even with the Master Chris Lowe doing the trumpet solo....

Sounds like something from a Sega Genesis.

Here, the influence of New Order's "Subculture" is pretty audible. :)

Very close to the Please version really, though not keen on the ooo-ing in this.
