Excellent video again. The tip regarding the spur at the weld is very important. I’d love to hear these gentlemen’s experiences with any blades that have a tooth spacing issue at the weld. (Meaning the spacing at the location of the weld is sometimes greater than the rest)
It's just something you have to watch for. I try and stick to woodmizer blades they are usually very uniform and work well in the woodmizer machines lol. Go figure
Hi just got a Woodmizer BMS 250 and like Mister Robert I been sharpening my own blades for many years now but what I find is the front of the BMS grinding wheel is waring very fast. Only did 40 blades on my first wheel. I have look at all the video I can find on how to make sure I'm using it the right way without putting to much pressure on the face off the grinding wheel with just a light touch, but just got 40 blades done on the first BMS wheel. How many should I be able to do???
I was told around 400 blades. That being said Mr.Robert also found out that you need to do the lightest of grinds or you will wear the wheel out prematurely. His first wheel only lasted 50ish blades. After he got the hang of it and they lasted for hundreds of blades.
Great video. Would love to stop in and hear some old stories
Thank you!
I mounted two three inch paint brushes where the blade exits which removes 90% of the oil.
Awesome job I cannot wait until they start their channel
Great list of folks
Excellent video , thank you for sharing with us Thomas .

You guys know anybody in Middle Tennessee near Cookeville ?
I am in cookville we have a set up. We have thought about doing it for hire. What are you needing ?
I’m a sharpener in East Tennessee
Glad to see you have joined the dark side
😆
I have done 7/8 tooth spacing and 1-1/8 tooth spacing on the same cam
Australia
Pity you don’t using metric
The woodmizer sharpeners are junk compared to the origional cat claw grinder in my opinion.
