For a stock I am 80% down on it’s extremely difficult mentally to keep buying & lowering my average. I believe in the company long term but it’s personal mental warfare juggling whether to just hold indefinitely or keep averaging down. Fundamentals strong, sentiment is just so poor. The joys of investing.
My friend influenced me to start my investing career in 2018 with NIO. I managed to make my way to 5000 shares somehow when price was around 4$. I sold and moved it all into bitcoin in 2021, when Nio was around 50+ I believe. Turned out to be a lucky move (my belief in btc was obviously strong). My buddy dca'd in to btc but kept his 7000 shares of Nio an rode it down like you did. I feel for him and so many others coming from almost 70$ a share to sub 4...I still believe in Nio. They're doing amazing things. Keep the faith. I believe the price mirrors the fundamentals soon.

This is a very good advertisement opportunity for NIO to sue CNBC, this will only set an example for other media outlets but will also advertise NIO, I very much doubt that NIO will do such a thing.
Nio is still a growth company. A transition of a specific sector with the associated infrastructure takes time, sometimes a generation. W. Li said it himself, we are running a marathon.
Great video! Couple of days ago I've heard the statement that it takes around ~2 years for the partners to bring a new battery swappable car to the market. Can't wait for more news around that popping up. By the time the Onvo/partner swap stations network should be fairly large already.
Nio power is not really Nio. There is maybe a reason they don t communicate so much on Nio power investments, debt, revenues. But the Logic is there: small battery plants close to customers, not to have to invest in giga batteries, less électricity losses in grid/charging/discharging, électricity sold at higher Price than a giga battery. The only problem for now is the swap station cost. This is a long terme investment for china. There will be rewards but in the future. Countries like Germany still like gas and charcoal. It is like EV, Europe and USA will wake UP on day and they will see that China is 10years ahead.
NIO Power is part of NIO but has given 10% share to an outside investor. I think what you are referring to is the Battery Asset Management company which owns the batteries and where NIO owns 20%. The swap stations and energy grid balancing opportunities with it are in a NIO opportunity.
What if it’s the other way around and we as Nio investors are the ones completely missing the point that this company is going nowhere and will never be profitable ? I’m heavily invested in Nio, but this wouldn’t be the first time I got it wrong…. How can so many institutions be wrong ? Selling pressure is so strong. Just saying.
@@thomaswolek4017 ook I have almost always made mistakes in selling I sold one of the many AMD at $20 dollars I had bought it for under $5 it was enough to keep it bought it back at 80 and resold it at 120. But with Nio I made a mistake I sold them all at $55 then unfortunately I bought them back a little lower, unfortunately paying myself thousands of dollars in taxes I hope one day it will pay me back. the sector is difficult especially in China too much competition its advantage could be the swap

Well, eventually with some patience, as a heavy NIO investor, I would like to see good return hoping by next 5 years time frame. However, at the moment seeing so much cash burns, can't shake off the feeling that NIO CEO just wants to do something good for the humanity that he feels good and proud about it, unfortunately, not in best interest of the investors.... Bottom line is, if the share price to rise consistently, we will need to see positive earnings going forward, not sure when that can be however. I think the period of EV euphoria is over and investors wants to see the solid fundamentals.

Nio is and continues to be my best investment ever. Was buying at 1.50 and managed a 5 cost average. Never lost hope or faith in Nio. Sold the lot for 100k profit. Now I'm back.... 10x 🔹 👐. You ain't getting my shares.
Pure sentiment opinions, some are struggling because they bought so high and Nio didn't have much to offer, now Nio has a lot going on including sales, infrastructure, technology and brand recognition even though there is a lot more work to do in this regard, so thinking objectively, Nio is a buy for me, do not be negative just because you bought at such high prices and now is blinding you from seen the progress and opportunity. Time will tell
I always wondered how lucrative the buying and selling of energy can be? To me it doesn't seem that lucrative... matter of fact in my county when you were providing energy to the grid like with solar panels on your roof you would make some money.. currently you have to pay energy companies for transferring overcapicity to the network... people who thought of solar panels as a investment are mad now... instead of making money it's costing them money now..
In Europe the arbitrage trading is very profitable as there is high fluctuations because of renewables. China’s trading system is less developed and also the parameter are different, eg the energy mix. NIO could help shaping it.

Nio has a share price problem. As long as the stock price of NIO is going down, all the talks about its future does not make much sense. Nio share price needs to rise to prove its business model works and has a good future. Good luck.

NIO is terrible with investor relations, they don’t respond to anything yet no investor reassurance, so obviously there’s going to be negativity surrounding the company. Burning investors money and not giving a clue what the foresight will be is absolute BS

People pay 11.5 cent per kwh delivered back to the grid...
