Unforgotten memories from 2018 Supynes Festival. This was around 2am - second night of the festival. The mixer output going into the recorder was nasty, didn't know until afterwards... this was the best result i managed to get with the audio...

to be honest I wouldn't dance to this either, it lacks warmth, too glitchy and bleepy for my taste. Maybe just personal preference, but generally people don't want to dance to a "sound design" performance. You can see they're trying to dance, but then he kills the vibe by doubling down on pops and crackles like some digital bowl of cereal.

That is a good point, I am always playing with sound design and sequence of it, partly the reason of not wanting to sound pretty much the same same as before me and after. 8 out of 10 such performances work for the body rather than mind, with everything pretty much arranged. I try to do something different for people out there, with real tools and real performance.

@@MrDataline i think the performance is brilliant and im dancing my ass off here in my home with headphones! people dont have to dance publicly to feel it. maybe the crowd was more focused on trying to get laid or something.
the groove is there the whole set and cenk u do what all of us are trying to do with the elektron boxes -- move people, have fun and create on the spot. it's so dope

Mm, this is sound art not simply Dance music, danceable absolutely but it also tells a story and is reflective. True its for slightly more sophisticated music lovers maybe. People Looking for depth
