CMA Fifteen ma baby Of all the shit I get to test, this thing is genuinely holding a very special place in my heart A unit that has everything you need, and yet it can drive iems all the way up to SUS 🐅
I sold my Burson conductor 3r and will be getting another Burson or maybe will try something else . How would you compare it to Burson conductor 3r soundwise , I have 32 ohm lsa hp 2 headphines so all that extra power is not important to me rather then good dynamics and clean sound with strong bass ....
I just got my Aune s9c this past weekend and having optical issues. I'm waiting on a replacement to come in. Just hoping it was a fluke. I'm assuming it's been solid for you so far? Thanks for the review Z!
It was for me but I have had issue in the past with the S8. Only when I upgraded to the Singxer SU-6 digital transport did the issues stop. It like a "clean" digital signal if that sounds correct. Some sources just didn't lock on that dac.
@@ZE0SPantera Just plugged in the replacement s9c and having the same optical issues. Sound just dies after 5-10min. Over USB is totally solid though. Super odd. Might just go a completely different route altogether. Maybe a k9pro ess
@@GoldenEagle0007 Aune customer support was fantastic I have nothing bad to say about them but I ended up running the s9 via USB and its been rock solid for the past 8 months now with no issues. Sound is incredible and it punches way above its weight class
XD05 Pro review in the works or nah? ROHM DAC chip / card came out, R2R and AKM ones not yet i think. If you're gonna do an extensive listening with different combinations please don't forget about some op-amp rolling and trying out discrete op-amps, like Sparkos Pro and Weiss.
Honestly not going to find MUCH difference in those two specific aspects. I would pick the one that fits your desk better. If you aren't using them as Dac outputs their amplifiers are very similar.
I work with an audio shop that just started selling Questyle and I want to hunt them down and force them to make speaker amplifiers. Questyle, please read this and go make an integrated or amp for speakers!
Can the aune be plugged into a power amp? Thinking of using it into a schiit gjallarhorn on the desk but cant find anywhere if the aune is actually a pre amp or not
What would be the best closed back headphones for competitive gaming? I’ve used open backs (HD560s) but I feel like I can’t hear footsteps as well. Maybe because I’m in a noise environment. But I currently use the cloud ll. I’m just curious if there’s any other closed backs that would be good for esports. Thank ya!!!
@@samza9622 my current dac/amp is the ifi zen dac v2. Idk maybe I’m just not used to open backs yet because I’ve been using closed backs for my entire life. I’ll have to try the 560s again and see. But I do have some noise going on in the background like a my family member watching tv or them playing games as well.
Yeah if you want Closed back the Maxwell is the way to go. If you want a non-powered there are options but I need a budget. The new Moondrop Joker have a review coming.
@@ZE0SPantera I would like to have wired headphones. Budget is probably around $300, maybe $400 or lower obviously lol. I was looking at the dt770 pro,700 pro x and the game zeros but I’m not sure. I know I’m probably overthinking this like how I overthink everything else lol. The headphones I currently have are the HyperX cloud ll, 560s, pc38x, Logitech Pro X, and kiwi orchestra lite(IEMS). They are all paired with a ifi zen dac v2. I don’t need a headset with a mic. I’m very competitive when it comes to gaming and I hear a lot of good things about the 560s for comp but idk maybe I’m just not used to open backs. I just feel like I’m not in the zone when using open backs.
You make it sound like diminishing returns isn't a thing with dacs especially. I demoed the Questyle, I am still not sure what all that extra money gets you.
@@chungang7037 I'm more referring to the proprietary amplification design by Questyle vs the Aune. Zeos was saying it himself that he thought the Questyle sounded better. He just didn't want to offend or lose out on sponsors by talking too harshly about Aune, at least that's what I saw.
I find this narrative odd, because I have watched a lot of his videos and he historically didn't care for a lot of products that had a bucketload of hype around them. That could easily have pissed off many potential sponsors.
@@johenkay1129 Just saying certain items like a lot of the Dan Clarks, Arya, and Focals he was polite about but not really into. He probably lost viewers due to that. I think it is more that we expect reviewers to enter full rage mode or slag off on products/companies we have decided we don't like

Finally. Thanks for reviewing questyle.
Thanks for the content. This is making me drool wanting a money tree set but not at this point in my life lol
Can i ask how you would compare the Aune s9c to Topping DX9?
