As someone who just got back and started over from scratch just a week ago, the timing of this video is perfect. I last played 4 years ago and obviously the game has changed quite a bit, so a new up to date beginners guide like this is really nice to have.
As someone who is running a new account, I don't recommend going to same route as this for your credit heist. Instead, I would suggest doing Bossk lead, with Boba, Dengar, Cad bane, and IG-88. Not only does it help you work towards chewbacca faster, but they also all have ships that can quickly set you up for executor later down the line. And because of that, I also suggest doing their ships instead of geo's for the lvl 78 ability mats. Other than that, great video! I love how more people are trying to assist new players!
so...f2p players can't farm bossk until they've been playing for 3-4 weeks. which means you will miss 1 or maybe even 2 credit heists by the time you activate him. :)
Ringing!! lol I'm surprised you didn't talk about how lucrative the Assault Battle rewards are. I know that requires a couple more "mid-game" teams, so I can understand why you didn't include them on your list. Thanks for all you do Nooch!
Thank you for all the info. I'm in SWGOH only about 2 weeks now and it has grabbed me by the nuts. Loving it. Especially as a lifelong SW fan. Anyway... loving your enthusiasm and the energy in each video. Keep fighting the good fight and MTFBWY
I started a second account to play as F2P when the update dropped and I found it fairly helpful to lean into a lot of what you're provided from quests and other pre-existing tutorials. Namely Phoenix for Galactic War and generic Empire/Dark Side pilots and their ships. You just don't have the time to farm anything else that will perform at the same level, but you are at least able to unlock a lot of crucial farms earlier as a result (Piett, Bossk, Hound's Tooth, etc). Also, I wasn't expecting the Ludicrous Speed pacing of level advancement and made the mistake of investing too much into Galactic Republic characters and ships, thinking to prepare for Fleet Arena. It set me back a few days on the Zeta challenge, but I still managed to do it earlier than the previous experience.
I agree. Did the same thing and there just isn't time to farm geo ships. You pretty much have to go with what it gives you because it cuts the farms in half.
@@nathanpeever6500 I did the exact same. It seems to me all the energy and currencies used for geos need to be put towards executor right away. I think they are screaming at you to unlock it as quickly as possible. They really push the phoenix and their ships to unlock empire and chimera, and go to straight to BH, Troopers, and an empire team with a huge Vader. Basically, they are trying to give you a very basic grand arena setup that can do enough to cover other important parts of the game once your account settles after all the quick growth
It's at least a more cohesive group of ships to get started with. While I wouldn't necessarily suggest that going directly for Executor is ideal, they are likely to see more use and purpose over the early to mid stages an account than Separatist ships. Geos were really just a fast-track preparation for the Zeta challenge, but they don't really provide much of a learning experience in how to build a fleet, nor do they have any value in Journeys currently available. I really like the simplicity of the experience when you look at it from the perspective of a completely new player. It's a solid foundation that will provide value over the life of the account.
Btw for the ships after completing quests you will get a 5 star tie bomber, tie fighter, tie advanced, Slave 1. I've decided to farm iden (Vulture droid) for tie Defender so I have a fleet with more synergy. It might take a bit more time but I think it's worth it. Still geos are great.
Also mann watching this and seeing its only a matter of weeks to hit level 85 now just makes me so angry tbat i grinded for 4/5 months to do so!! Tne only tning i still see as a positive for the grind i did, is i was t overwhelmed with game modes. I got to learn each one qt q nice pace before unlocking another game mode.
@@NOOCH2GUD I just started playing again. I realized I don't remember anything about the game, I'm soo confused!! I have a lot more characters than I rememeber, but still I don't know what to do. The game seems a lot different.
Pretty new to this, and I keep hearing about defensive and offensive teams, but I don’t exactly understand. I imagine defensive teams prioritise health and healing and offensive teams prioritise damage, but how can you change between the two within the same team? Might be a stupid question but it’s something I don’t understand 😅
Defensive and offensive refer to the Grand arena and Territory wars game modes in which you have to set up teams to defend your zones and later attack the enemy teams set up for defense. Some teams perform better while defending, and others while attacking.
@@rosin632 Ay that makes sense, I still haven’t played either of those modes, not high enough for Grand Arena and my guild never has enough members for Territory Wars. But thanks for that

I just started a new free to play account last week! Thanks Nooch for this video! You are 2 Gud!

The first video helped me out when I returned to the game in dec!

This is good feedback thanks! What did you do the ability matetials challenge with?
I used TIE Advanced, Bomber, Fighter, and Silencer, along with Slave One. Pilots were all 80-85 and G10, with Vader at G11.

Omg that bloopers at the end was awesome. Nooch u should do that more with ur videos. I laughed so hard 🤣
:) when i have fun bloopers i stick them at the end. Its about a 5-10% chance.
Zeta challenges are the cornerstones of good account building! 🎉🎉
doing quests now give you Sabine shards along with shards for her ship by completing some quests

I think they will only be 4 stars hoing forward - remember that CG gave everyone a bunch of shards in addition to the normal ones
@NOOCH2GUD oh so that was a one time gift from cg? Interesting

I wonder how the teams you lay out here would fare in Conquest. I personally consider Conquest even more important than Grand Arena
Same teams
Cornerstone or crux are good words for zetas
Question. I dont know if you have answered this before, but what was your favirot glactic legend to rush?
My OG - slkr
@NOOCH2GUD ok nice I just have to get finalizer to 5 stars
I played 5 or so years ago, I quit right when Revan was being released. I want to give it another ahot but I dont know where to start

Don't underestimate Hondo Ohnaka, he's very difficult to knock out. Easily my favorite scoundrel.
For some werid reason i watched that first 5 weeks video earlier today
Zetas , gimeeee the zetassss
You didn't mention it, but as soon as these recommended farms are done, should we then start the GL grind?
Every account is different, but generally executor first
Bloopers are almost as long as the video itself 😂😂😂🎉🎉🎉🎉
Perhaps catalyst for zetas?
Is that Hot Boba ringing bell?
So no more range with Veers troopers?

How dare you assume wampas gender;)
It’s confirmed to be female.
I still don't understand how to "farm" these guys. I've been playing maybe 3 weeks and am at level 40.
