Perhaps one of the greatest and yet moist underrated song by the singer I idolized when I was a teen....RICKY NELSON ! Love his voice, the melody and the lyrics. ! Unforgettable.
Yes, Ricky Nelson was so sorely under-rated and forced into the background by the entire music world! Now I love ELVIS .. and he's my number one .. but Ricky Nelson was and is right up there with him in my book! I love their music and vocal talents!!!
What a vastly under rated Artist Rick Nelson was .... I don't think his talent is truly appreciated until you listen to the greatness of songs like this!
Just a fantastic song, Ricky Nelson was fantastic, his music lives on today and it is still as good or better than when released. Been a fan of his for one year now.
Im sß seventy six now i remember my mother ssinging fools rush in with my father playing the guitar during my growing up years a suolful and happy memory
I love this Record just missing my loved one who’s in Mexico and she loves this song that I dedicate to hopefully we make this our wedding song someday
Por fin la enconté. Es Genial, pero nos acostrumbramos a la voz de Rocío Dúrcan en su versión castellana. Bellísima, en su originalidad, El arreglo sirvió tambien para la otra versión- A los dos Gracias por hacernos feliz. Y a ud., Vintageart1994 Muchas Gracias.
Many thanks to all those who have made these very interesting and enlightening comments for a non musician like myself - but I still think Ricky was the very best:)
rick had something about him ,and i think there are only a handful of artist who have that . i could not put my finger on what it was ,and the closest i could say about it was if i listened to a track of his it was not enough to listen once ,i wold want to play it 4 or 5 times to satisfy my self .
@CBSEye Just to let people know, and don't know if you meant it this way.. the song was not written by Gene Pitney. It's actually written by Johnny Mercer in 1940. Many, many people have recorded it over the years.
Ah, the great Rick Nelson! This is a masterpiece. With Burton up front on guitar, this Gene Pitney song as done by Ricky is flawless. Please check out my version as I had a little fun with it recently. Thanks guys for posting a terrific video. - Jersey Guy, only at CBSEye

Being a gentleman, the man should be in the right side to protect the woman!!!
What an awesome song brilliantly sung by Ricky.
Even though I know too well he was nothing more but the Hanna Montana of his generation, I absolutely love his musical interpretations and voice.
The best cut of this song, hands down, a great guitar solo to boot,,
fool rush in my favorite song of rickie nelson 1963
one of the best 60s singers
Great recording with some mean James Burton guitar licks.......

The best version ever !!
An amazing tune performed so well by Nelson, Burton, and company. The guitar work is simply spectacular.
The solo is very ahead of its time.
VERY GOOD 👋😃😃😃
One of his best. He could of been bigger than Elvis if not for his dad.

In my opinion he is the 3rd best, after Johnny Cash and Elvis Presley.
His mother Harriet really liked "Fools Rush In".Rick recorded it for her.

La querida Rocio Dúrcal hizo una versión en español muy buena de ésta canción.
This is an excellent cover version of a song recorded by Brooke Benton in 1960. Check it out - less rock and roll but still adorable.

ONE OF THE BEST RECORDS EVER . JAMES BURTONS LEAD BREAK IS AWESOME .
The whole track just absolutely kills. Is it Jerry Scheff on bass? I don't think it's Osborne....need to know.

To think he was Mark Harmon's brother-in-law!
Scorpio Rising brought me here.
Did you insert an equalizer in the system? That's stupid.
No, no, no. That fantasy is not right
