    My EDC is the Note20, not the Ultra. This is my first Samsung and Android; prior eleven years I was iPhone only. My Note20, purchase in 2020, is an amazing phone, thus I would imagine the Note10 is as well. Wife has the S10e, it does have the card slot and for contactless payments both NFC and MST.

    While I agree that the galaxy phones from this era were way ahead of their time one thing many people don't realize is that the specs might look similar but keep in mind things like the ram might be the same GB spec but are totally different generations and speeds same with the on board memory and most importantly is the chip specs. What I will say is prior to the snapdragon 8 gen 2 it wasn't a huge difference but the gen 2 was a insane step up in efficiency and speed. The gen 3 is rumored to be even a bigger step up. So if your not looking for the s23 then the note 10 is a good option. I hate same sung removed SD cards but tbh it hasng affected me.

    Just read that buying such phone with 3/4 years old even its new, the battery life already half died (shelf life time).
    So do you recommend me to buy or not a note 20 ultra 5g? Saw new one with snapdragon version for $500.
    Im afraid to face battery issue within first year.

    • @the187alx
      @the187alx  8 месяцев назад +3

      I'm testing my Note 10+ every day, so far there are no issues (with my usage the battery lasts a day and a half or so), but I only got it for 3 months. Even though $500 might seem like a bit much, I do actually recommend the Note 20 Ultra (but make sure it's not refurbished). It's so future proof and just having a higher android version it's an advantage over the 10+

    • @hazemfive
      @hazemfive 8 месяцев назад +2

      thank you very much for your reply.
      yes I might buying it soon, seller said its a new phone (not renewed), its a US carrier unlocked, but the 2 things that made me waiting are:
      1- afraid that the phone had left the Samsung factory 3yrs ago and now the battery shelf time almost gone ,so I might need to replace the battery which I don't like to open my phone and replace the battery in the first 2yrs at least.
      2- the version of the phone is N986U (carrier unlocked), not the N986U1 (factory unlocked), some RUclipsrs say it might not work in 5G service, and some RUclipsrs says it will work. so I'm searching and googling the difference between carrier unlock and factory unlock to decide buying.
      hope to finalize this soon.
      @@the187alx

    • @the187alx
      @the187alx  8 месяцев назад +2

      no problem, you're welcome. Well, carrier locked means that it will only work with a specific carrier and their smaller brands. Be aware to check the IMEI though, what you don't want is a flagged device (lost, stolen, fraud)
      regarding the battery, mine also sat for about 4 years but as I said so far there's no issue with the battery. If you change it though, I recommend an authorised Samsung service, because they offer warranty

      Hi there. I have a Note 10 as well, and when I upgraded from Android 11 to 12, my battery life went down. I managed to downgrade back to Android 11 using Odin and it was back running as well as before. Then I got bored and wanted the new Android 12 features so I upgraded again, and same story with battery. I tried to downgrade again but the binary is now at 7 and it won't allow me to install one ui 3 again. So I could use your advice here - when you flashed your phone to Android 14 with one ui 6, does everything work or are there some compromises? Will Samsung Pass and Samsung Wallet still work? Also, is it complicated procedure? Thanks in advance :)

    - MY PEN IS NOT A Samsung ORIGINAL, WHICH IS A MAJOR ISSUE! So be aware when buying old devices, even if the package is sealed
    - there's sounds coming from the back, like it's not glued right
    - there's no notification led, no headphone jack, no more android updates
    - had to set up a lockscreen because of the screenshots and pocket dialing
    - it's enough with the curved screens already and I'm not a big fan of the slim edges of the screen at the top and bottom (which are not simmetrical, this annoys me more than the punch hole camera)
