Odd question 🙋♀️. What do you (everyone) do with the dirt/lawn that you remove when edging in the spring?

I think wetting it down was the key
Question...if you went the opposite direction with the trimmer, wheel inside the bed edge would the clippings be thrown away from the mulch?
