@@raphaelfranzen9623 Motion sickness is one thing, but edits like that are usually for people with visual epilepsy because rapidly flashing imagery can induce seizures
@@raphaelfranzen9623 yeah, my point in mentioning that it was disorienting was that there are several other methods that can be used to prevent flashing lights/intense motion that don't disorient, but often tend to take away from the content a little. Like, blacking out the screen, or freezeframing on the frame before it starts until it ends, or setting the fps really really low so the motion is still implied but isnt shown, those sorts of things. Overall the danger of seizures and other side effects is of much greater importance than any mild discomfort from the disorienting way of going about it. Generally if they end up seeing this reply, id suggest putting a warning/countdown when its going to happen, so people of all kinds will be prepared and hopefully not as jarred by it.
I really didn't expect all these top 1% or top 10 videos to be very entertaining because it's just races over and over but it seems to me that's consistently exciting.
You are the only RUclipsr that I’ve watched for years without getting board, even when I got board of the games you play I could still enjoy your videos, some real talent and quality content.
Scrapman!!!! DO RALLY!!! Trailmakers Rally isnt full of glitched builds, and limits the blocks used so they actually look like a normal car, while providing that nature of tweaking and racing format. Its very fun and good for content, lots of races that challenge different forms of racing and power levels.
hey scrapman I think i figured out how that guy got top 1. You see the pistons are timed to give a perfect speed boost at the start, and because he has zero drag, he can keep that speed and accelerate throughout the race as long as he can turn sharp enough.
@@Entarra Honestly that's pretty clever and not a glitch on its own. Scrapman could probably get much faster starts with something like that without using parts in ways they're not meant to be.
Thank you, Scrapman, for getting me into Trailmakers and showing me how to get my first-ever leaderboard-topping time. 👌🏻 By watching these videos, I learned so much about how to make vehicles that I was able to pick the game up in no time!
Imagine this, but he tricks his friends by saying they're doing a evolution challenge and starting at 100 blocks. That would be evil for them to struggle trying to take off the least necessary blocks when they built it to add blocks
I’m still advocating for a Small vs Big build series! The motorcycle videos were great, and seeing that same 2-vid format with other vehicles would be dope!
series idea: you now redo all the races but only using parts from the base game (ie your not allowed to use anything from a dlc) and see what the highest place you can get is.
Hey scrapman i was number 6 without using glithes so i know you Can do better one thing you coulf do is ad more vertikal stabilising i used ellevaters but that would give you slot more speed throw coners. I also hope you sont end the series it is very fun to see and race againts
1:00 The one thing I was curious to see with that car was how it was going to handle that landing. Great job on your almost top 10 btw, I appreciate your tenacity!
When space league is a reasonable option, I vote trying space league, with the stipulation that it should require the rocket thruster, because that thing is really cool and it basically never gets used.
I think it would be interesting to do a race like this, but have to follow WRC car class restrictions when building them, aside from stuff like saftey and stuff, but have to generally follow the regulations
One thing worth considering is your start position I noticed that you and everyone else are starting on the left side of the start region, angled straight or slightly right If you start in the middle or on the right edge, you can make that first turn more shallow, allowing you to carry more speed into the longest straight on the entire course
Series Ideas: 1) Speed run each campaign/map starting with no prebuilds 2) Start each campaign map from the beginning, but with all of its parts unlocked. Build a single machine (no modifications after you start) capable of completing the entire campaign. If that's too easy, give arbitrary limitations, such as X number of parts, or fewer than X cores. 3) Bare Bones Mode: Build minimal machines using as few parts/cores as possible. Example: A fully functional plane using only 4 parts (I've done it!) that can fly through all of the island rings in a set time limit.
You ought to build a gyrostabilized flying spectator build, because the multiplayer videos would do a lot better when you’re spectating your friends, because the in game spectator camera isn’t great.
I'm interested in seeing you do glitched builds, seeing as how you keep getting really high on the leader boards and competing with them already. If you did glitch builds and drive the way you do, I bet you could get number 1 spot on everything.
14:30 i have been saying this on so many videos scrapman, I love watching your creativity and builds but I just wish I could teach you about how racing lines actually work, it'd be great if the editor could display this on one of the videos so people understand the visuals to the jargan but here goes, Basically scrap man you have always in previous races either traditionally gone with shorest distance or fastest speed times, now in racing we differentiate these lines then we have what's called the optimum line, usually in racing depending on the unique characteristics of your vehicle and your teams strategy you go between these lines and find your fastest timed lap, cornering is where most people in racing end up losing time, you must find the apex of your vehicles line, what makes it lose the least amount of time, unfortunately trailmakers doesn't have sector attack times so it would be very difficult for you to track, the overall shortest TIME is the goal, not distance or highest speed, this is how it is usually, the faster accelerating cars will often take the shortest distance where as the higher top speed cars aim to keep there speed up in cornering, they take the slower cornering line but gun it out of the corner, obviously this isn't the case for double corners or corner heavy tracks but you get the overall idea, racing lines are made up of middle outside and inside lines, middle is for blocking and defending only, you realistically want to be on the outside and inside of the course predominantly as this gives you the greatest angles of attack
sixth time saying this hoping scrapman see's this :P you need to make your builds twice as wide, yes this will slow your acceleration a bit, but this will make your builds shorter, and this will then reduce the amount of sideways drag which will increase momentum through the turns, also having a way shorter build increases turning, and this means that you can have weaker turning which will give you a way smoother performance. Hope this helps if you or anyone else see's this :)
Custom community races or buildable waypoints and waypoint trackers would bee a cool DLC for making this mode more competitive and less about such specific builds or at least spawning more hyperspecific builds, lol.
Any kind of turning that comes from moving fin's produces drag. Take out any steering hinges or servos that move fence for turning, and replace them with servos and gyros instead

Hi scrapman. Day 7 of asking you to make a gyro free stol plane (short takeoff and landing) or a bush plane and try to get the shortest takeoff and landing you can (in trailmakers)
Maybe run a series in the lowest powercores to see how fast you can make a barebones vehicle go. That’s when you have to balance the options between natural stability (stabilizers) vs powered stability (gyros)
Idea: A multiplayer spleef arena with a randomly regenerating floor. This arena would be the opposite of your chaos arena. I’m not sure how this would work, but you could use the vacuum pumps to replace broken cardboard.
On the topic of spleef with floor replacement; I suggest one where the cars each have a pump/chest with a limited amount of cardboard. Instead of always cutting everything, they can strategically choose to connect two parts, if only a few times per round. Like, if someone's planning to cut out the entire arena, you can reconnect it at one point. Then cut a new line across, a bit further in, leaving yourself some room. They'll complete their cut and remove most of the arena, but you'll have a comfortable place to sit as they inevitably die whilst attempting to straddle what's left of the border. For this, though, you need to perfect the cutting system. You'd need to carefully tune the spuds to create a complete cut, every time, no matter what.
