    I don't like to wear shoes. I'm a barefoot hiker !
Going barefoot is the gentlest way of walking and can symbolise a way of living - being authentic, vulnerable, sensitive to our surroundings. It’s the feeling of enjoying warm sand beneath our toes, or carefully making our way over sharp rocks in the darkness. It’s a way of living that has the lightest impact, removing the barrier between us and nature.

I'm not one to really comment on videos, but I had to let you know how well I enjoyed this review. When this video ended, I had no questions left to ask. I have watched literally DOZENS of reviews for barefoot shoes, but none of them measures up to yours. This was especially helpful since I have issues with foot pain that sounds somewhat like what you've dealt with. Thank you so much for the time and information that you have provided here!

Thank you for sharing your shoe journey. I've been having big problems with my shoe journey and been looking for alternatives for years. These shoes look awesome. I'll definitely be checking them out! Much love!

I need something like this! I'm always going barefoot whenever i can, and i must say the whole bottom of my foot has become a 'natural shoe' and while it makes going barefoot feel even more natural, i hate how filthy my feet get as well haha. Congrats on the first sponsership, that's awesome!

Thank you so much for this thorough review! I love barefoot walking and minimalist sandals. Looking to get the benefits all year long so I'm searching for a close-toed pair. I think I'm going to go with a pair of Wildings!

Just purchased a pair based on your recommendations. Can't wait to try them. They need to give you a discount code for your viewers. Might get them a few more sales since they are so expensive. Thanks.

If you haven´t tried Skinners sock shoes already, give them a try. I really love them, they literally are socks with a very thin rubber sole and that´s exactly what they feel like.

I get foot cramps from regular padded shoes now too.
I've been wearing Minimalist Shoes or at least minimal padding shoes if I'm wearing a cowboy boot for about 8 years. I recently bought a pair of Nikes and a pair of New Balance both of which just regular running shoes and I'm getting foot cramps.

These look really nice, came across your video while looking for barefoot shoes. Like you, I am trip prone, I've been known to just put my foot on the ground and twist my ankle... so the design of these really intrigued me. Sadly, they are a bit out of my price-range (about 50-60USD) Thinking of trying the Xero. Now, I'm on a mission to see more of your videos because multiple things spoke to me in the video, so can't wait to see more of what you have uploaded. :)

So glad to see a review on this company, I just found them, gosh, maybe a month ago and haven't bought anything yet, because I definitely was worried about durability. I see currently they are expanding the materials to things like cotton, or wool for colder weather, but seeing that you used them so much with the paper material, good to know they are pretty strong, because at those prices, it would be a shame to have to replace them (if i wasn't up to trying to repair myself)
Also nice to see that the strange toe separation that comes up the front of the foot doesn't look too strange, I'm not crazy picky but I could see that looking a bit odd for my taste.

Hi Mya, your Birks videos helped me so much. Do you go back to your Birks after wearing the barefoot shoes for awhile? I am interested to know how your feet transitioned into them. :)

Thanks for this review - I love my Tanukis too and have several pairs of Wildlings by now. I don't feel right in my conventional shoes any more.
One tip for the smell problem: Wildling by now offers a set of cork discs with a natural oil which you can put in the shoes over night. Alternatively, try to rub a bit of cinnamon in the shoes and on the inner sole, that works a miracle.
Wildling has grown by now (in 2020) but still cannot offer every shoe in every size all year round - see their blogazine for information about sustainability.

I'm loving the look of the Wildings! How has the sole/construction held up? Do you still use the same pair, or have you needed to replace them?

I'm considering buying these from the same material. I'd like to know if one can feel the separation in the sole?
BTW, great review with loads of useful information. Well done!

I’m curious. I am prone to injury as well (I broke my leg walking down my driveway). I’m bow legged and I put all my weight on the outsides of my feet (which I think is why I roll my ankles a lot).
    Do you have similar issues?
Barefoot shoes are the only time I don’t roll my ankles.
