I honestly prefer this Cat to Cat in later seasons. She just regressed and became an overgrown child after season one.
It has to do with her psychological problems, personality disorder, schizophrenic , or even just mental regression cause by trauma.
No tf, it has something to do with the directors, that wanted Cat to change
She has psychological problems. Some think that she may act that way because her brother is... well.... I guess you could say "handicapped?" Her brother needs a lot of attention from mom and dad and she felt like she never got that. In cases like those, people will start to act younger in order to get attention from loved ones. If you analyze this show, every character has some issue. I wonder what the message is.......

Andre was the only one who treated Cat like a person while the rest treated her like a child, or were insensitive of her obvious psychological problems
Edit: Tori was a bitch to everyone, not only cat. Beck treated her like a kindergartener. Robbie was in love with her and definitely treated her well, I just meant Andre treats her the best friendship-wise.
