  • WELCOME BACK TO ANOTHER VIDEO!
In this video we leave the Northern Territory after being there for 2.5 months and start making our way over to Queensland.
We stop back in at Mataranka for the Thermal Pool and Bitter Springs. Which offer a refreshing dip and overnight stay at The Homestead.
We were lucky enough to be at the iconic Daly Waters Pub for Australia Day. This was AWESOME. We have so much fun cracking whips and drinking beer by the pool with our friends Luke, Alana, Sam and the 2 girls Sophia and Olivia.
Then onto 3 Ways and starting to head East. We stop at a very windy free camp called The Tower (on wiki camps). Which was actually a really nice overnight stop with an amazing internet signal (yes priorities haha).
We cross the Border into Queensland and free camp some more at Camooweal Billabong (also found on wiki camps). The bird life here is fantastic here.
When in Mount Isa drive the 15km out to Lake Moondarra and have a swim in the clear refreshing waters. What a shame there isn't a campsite or caravan park out on the Lake. That would have been beautiful.
Make sure to check out the old Uranium Mine and the Mary Kathleen free camp which has concrete slabs to camp on. This was 50km East of Mount Isa.
We hope you enjoy this video and feel free to ask us any questions.
    Happy travelling guys!!
    Chelsea & Bryce 😊

Worked Mt Isa and Mary K in late 70's. Mary K was a thriving town, PO, school etc. All those slabs had houses on them and the street verges were like bowling greens. Makes for an awesome free campsite now though.
Those old mine workings get very acidic and give your skin a caning, best not to swim in them.
Really pleased to have found your channel, keep up the great vids and stay safe.

Another beaut video guys. We stayed at Mary Kathline a couple of years ago. We went up to check out the mine pit (Lake), and it was really windy. My brand new Akubra hat blew off and sailed down into the middle of the lake. Bet there's a bunch of hats on the bottom of that lake. Spewing about loosing a $200 hat. We really love all your vids.

Really enjoying the content guys. RE the mozzie bites in the caravan we’ve got a great little USB powered internal battery mozzie zapper and light that we got on eBay $18 you can also get them from Aussie disposals works really well in the caravan saves waking up and putting mozzie spray on in the middle of the night. Can’t add a picture unfortunately but they come in bright orange and bright green and have a white light shroud on them.
