Quagmire is the only character in the series who hates Brian, and the only character who is consistently nice to Meg.

Why are we judging the show on how it may influence young children? My question would be what parents are letting their young children watch this?
It's not that most adults are LETTING their kids watch Family Guy, but I think it's mostly just how unavoidable the show is because of being everywhere. Then there are the parents who LET their kids watch it

Yes. Because my kids will watch it anyway or get influenced by classmates who do watch it. Atleast now they know it comes from a silly cartoon and therefore learn that it is not normal world behaviour. Talk with them about Family Guy in a fun ongoing way but also teach them at the same time how silly and unacceptable certain things in that cartoon are.
Wild Woody, that is a good point I'll concede to, though I was thinking about those kids less than ten years of age that the parents let watch adult swim, older kids are one thing, but how hard is it to keep a 7 year old off the channels they're not supposed to watch?

It was still happening in the sixties and even into the seventies until the women's Revolution happened.
