Do it yourself. Using agencies to get appointment is not recommended by USCIS. I know a few people who got their visa rejected because they used agencies to get "BUY" appointment for money. and if you end up doing it(I am not recommending it). Be honest when the Visa officer ask about it.

But if you are missing several documents, then yes. It will take several months to track down all of them and get the originals.
