Thank you :) Robotmasters has a lot of fun toys, I’d definitely recommend Star Saber from the same line. He’s a lot of fun, he’s basically just a tiny version of the G1 toy. I’ve also heard good things about the Lio Convoy.
I remember the last time I saw this mold was in the robot chicken skit where Optimus Prime died of prostate cancer (I'm not joking). I honestly thought it was just custom built for the skit but seeing there's actual figure is kind of cool.
I think he’s like the perfect desk bot. He’s not too big, great articulation. Truck mode is meh but he’s fun to just convert back and forth. How good the bot mode is makes up for the less then stellar truck to me.
You should look into a Japanese proxy service like Buyee or Janbox. Most of these are wayyyy cheaper in Japan. So you can find them cheap via a proxy service. Also at conventions. All the ones I have I’ve gotten I got for like $30-$40 at TFcon and Botcon besides the Black Star Saber. He was pretty expensive.
Isn’t this the same Optimus that was used in the Robot Chicken skit where Prime gets Prostate cancer? Great video as always dude! Looking forward to more!
Good review! This optimus prime figure is for sure very unique! I personally feel like this is a small version of masterpiece 01. Hope you can review robot masters optimus primal next! Keep up the great work!
@@False_Convoy At the time they were awesome. Cartoon accurate, fairly poseable. More than G1 at least. They may be overshadowed by modern releases but on my limited shelf space there always seems to be a spot for Skywarp. When I bought them new I don't remember paying that much for all 3. The prices I'm seeing now make it a hard buy for me at least.
It's not "forgotten", more like "wanted to forget it ever existed". I collected various optimus prime figures, and except for a few gems, I wish I never bothered with most of them.
I can’t say I share the same sentiment. I have most Optimus Primes that have been released beyond like kids gimmick toy ones. I like having them all and comparing the design philosophy over the years. I appreciate them all in a different way even if some of them are less then stellar.
I've always wondered what this figure was until this very moment.
I just remember this figure as the Optimus toy Seth Green used or his Transformers skits on Robot Chicken.
@@ExaltedArchvileThey’ve used Masterpiece, G1, and this figure.
I ALWAYS forget this toy, as well as the entire line he comes from, exist. It's a crime. I need to grab me one of these. Great vid!!

fun fact robot chicken used that figure in there skits
God here from PerspectiveEnd's 300th video, the line "This thing kinda looks like a ghost; this thing makes me want to kill my-" had me roflin
Lmao yeah I was really proud of that line
Happy to have you here :)

I totally forgot about that skit until a friend of mine reminded me of it when I posted this video. Love robot chicken lmao.
@@False_Convoy Their transformers stuff is great.
I’d say it’s just a good figure to stand there, maybe pose a little bit that path in the truck is horrendous

I had the upsized KO version of this mold and it was SO cool!!!!! :D
That sounds awesome! I may need to get myself one of those.
I didn't know this figure existed
Most people don’t seem to lol
Reminds me of legends
It’s a weird one scale wise, it’s a bit too big to be quite legends class. But it’s smaller then a deluxe.
I would really want to collect the line/molds if they werent so dar expensive

Yep, same one lol
Optimus and I both have prostate cancer ...

Robot Chicken Prime!
I’m glad this is what most remember him as lol
RM Optimus Primal/Beast Convoy please
he's very underrated!
That he is!
This figure inspired the Classics 2pack deluxe one, and has the same mistakes, awesome robot mode, terrible truck mode.
I definitely am a bigger fan of this one then I am that one. I think that one was significantly worse.
I almost bought this guy back then. Ended up getting Starsream, Skywarp and Thundercraker.
Are they any good? I’ve been debating on picking them up

@@aarong6382 I’m not as worried about things being objectively the best as I am them just being fun toys.
@@False_Convoy Absolutely. I like they way they look on the shelf. In the end honestly. If you like this line then the seekers are a must buy.
@@aarong6382 I think I’ll cop a Starscream next I see one then. Then go from there if i wanna get the other ones.
