Good day DK (or Ajarn DK, which one would you prefer 👋🏻🤲🏻).
Would you mind sharing a short katha that can be used universally & generally when we pray or meditate towards any Ruesi figurine?
I came across "Ohm Lek Lur Lek Lur, Namapakawa, Itihli Cakpatanang, Mahalapang, Ahang Wantami, Namo Puttaya." Is this correct?
I've recently got into learning more about the Ruesi tradition & school of thought - please don't mind me I'm an absolute beginner.
Many thanks for sharing your experiences and knowledge on your journey.

Hi Alwin, the Gathas I use are mostly in Sanskrit or deva language.
For the Thai type of Katha, you can use:
Om surawepoya ruesi poya namaha x 9
      Followed by:
Om Imasaming Pra bprakone tap pra muni thewa hidtaa dtumhe bparipunchandtu
Dutiyam pi Om Imasaming Pra bprakone tap pra muni thewa hidtaa dtumhe bparipunchandtu
Tatiyam pi Om Imasaming Pra bprakone tap pra muni thewa hidtaa dtumhe bparipunchandtu

May I know what would be good for beginners to start with when venerating or worshiping the Rishis? Would be going vegetarian good as well as fasting , including prayers daily? I am attracted to Rishis such as Lersi Taafai , Lersi Pujao Sermingprai as well as Lersi Narod and Petchalugan. Have been praying to Phra Phor Phuu Lersi Taafai , Phor Gae and Pujao Sermingprai and I can sense their presence and energies. Lately been feeling Phra Lersi Pujao Sermingprai and Phra Lersi Taafai very strongly.

      1. The recitation of their kathas
      2. Meditation on the breath (I won’t recommend and kasina or visualisation unless you received specific instructions from a master)
Vegetarianism and fasting is a personal choice and isn’t part of the prerequisites or aspirations for following the Lersi path. That being said, going vegetarian and fasting are very good for the physical health, which in terms allow the body and mind to feel lighter which will enhance one’s spiritual cultivation.
Regarding fasting, it’s best to not overdo it. You can research online on how to have a fasting regimen (pre-fast, fasting period, break fast period).

I have been saved from a fatal accident many times through the grace and protection of Phra Lersi Phor Gae Taafai and Phra Lersi Pujao Sermingprai. But I am interested to know if these Phra Lersis connect to one base on faith or some other connections?

have you explored Rishi traditions from its motherland India? what's the common features and differences there?

    • @dhammakamo
      @dhammakamo  4 года назад

Hi Showa, there's always cross-culture references. What's most important is one's penetration into the nature of reality, and the development of compassion in order to help others.

@@dhammakamo It's very very fortunate that you have Buddhist monk training as your strong foundation. I have seen Thai Rishis honest interview on youtube sharing that they had been engaging in occult killing of another human being just for the sake of their livelihood (with announced price tag and guaranteed death within a period of time), using needles using bees + pottery scraps etc. Never had I came across a Rishi showcasted on youtube that stress the root intention of "penetration into the nature of reality, and the development of compassion in order"
By all means please share more in youtube about your work :)

@@dhammakamo Thanks for sharing on your meditation videos. It will also be interesting if you could shed more insights on the Rishi path in your tradition which I believe that it is more esoteric and not known much to the general audience.
