Teens Try Using a 90s Camcorder | Technical Difficulties (New Show) Развлечения
Instead of competing against a "robot" they should compete against their parents, or the adults/elders/etc!
!!!!
this
Great idea.
Good idea
Love how their instant response to making a video with a camera was to shoot themselves and not use it like almost any other generation would have and filmed around them
T h i s
They're just recording themselves I don't see why that's a bad thing and they did record the things around them, you can see it in their videos. Also other generations did take photos and videos of themselves to make memories so...
@@MrWolfSnack These aren't millennials, they're zoomers
@@MrWolfSnack Ok boomer
They're doing a 90's version of selfie video.....lol!
Their kids will be looking at an iPhone and be like "How do I record with this old thing"?
Åsa S ok boomer
This comment deserves more likes
At this point I can't imagine them shooting with anything besides the smartphone, they're here to stay...
@@video2000ification What we can´t imagine will be things used in the future.
Just like people in the 80s or 90s couldn´t imagine smartphones, we can´t imagine what we will use 30-40 years from now.
People think that the new things of their own time is so modern, and think those things are here to stay.
Until the next generations of technology shows up, and the kids then will look at the things that are modern now, and ask themselves who people were able to even live with such outdated and funny looking stuff.
@@Asa...S Cartoon gadgets gave us a concept of the future...
Teens: How do I set up this camcorder?
90's kids: am I A j0ke tO you?
Yea its like all 90 kids had caneras
ツxdShroudyPooh but aren’t they 90’s kids...
They did it well.
Almost all of them start recording themselves. 😂 Youth of today...
Funny how they all look like they could be kids from the 90's with their fashion and hair...
Fashion goes around in circles
Le'raun reminds me of '90s will smith
LOL exactly my thoughts! I didn't even know 90s boy hair was back, never liked it 😅
@@E-A-Z-Y if fashion comes around in circles why haven't padded coifs cone back in vogue in the last century?
I find it hilarious that most of them turned the camera around to film themselves.... That was really not a thing back then. Lol
yea that was pretty interesting
"It was fun to experience how people made videos in the olden days" 😂😂 lol
Jaxon never disappoints me. What a smart young man.
Haha no
Yeah he definitely belongs in the millennial generation
ikr@@Mhathir
Fun show, but do away with the robot next time, please and thank you.
Ironically the guy with the 90s haircut couldn't figure out 90s technology
Lol that's what I was thinking.
Exactly
lol
okay this is cool. do more of this.
except the robot thing. that was unnecessary. just make it like a competition thing with another person like some of the other shows you guys do.
Yeah they really need to acknowledge this piece of technology
"Hello! How's it going? I'm Jaxon and I just won."
Jaxon’s my favourite Teen Reactor. He’s so fun and hilarious.
I love how only one of them didn’t record themselves.
Yeah and even better: also seem to be the only to understand he has to manually focus the thing. He's the only who has his left hand at the lens.
Half of them were "recording" with the black cap still on the camera lmaoo😂😂
Please don't have the robot again. Challenge is fine but robot was unneeded
"Please be kind and Rewind"
I like the whole teens try to figure out old technology bit but the animated robot is a little strange and unnecessary
I like how they all did selfie recordings for their videos.
90's is now the olden days lol.
Everything before 2010's are olden days
@@rmhd7550 oh wait that means I’m old 😂
Being a 90s kids, this is HILARIOUS. But then again when my dad gave me an 8 track, I looked the same.
Now have the elders operate a modern camera.
How about elders try to operate a 3D printer!
Was I the only one frustrated because they could put the VHS right? Or is it that I’m old and not what to admit it!
Both Mayb ? But your not The only one lol i miss the 90 s
Griselda Amaya yep, I was too. Like it took me many tries to do it when I was young
I was cringing hardcore when I saw that too... you're not alone Alex. I'm a 90s kid through and through (born 1984) and I could complete this challenge super easily... though they had teens on staff there do it because they might not have had access to such cameras growing up... The digital age is what they're used to, so them not knowing to rewind the tape isn't too surprising.
one of them tried to put the VHS tape sideways ROFL
Seeing them try to insert the tape into the TV! That's a good laugh! LoL
Ikr, I was dying when were trying to do that....lol!!!
Yup, instant LoL
There were TVs back then that did that tho
@@1MarkKeller yes but uncommon...
@@da_pawznot uncommon. even poor people like my family had one
Instantly LoL when they tried to put the cassette directly to the CRT TV...
Lol I know i was laughing
even tho im 11 i still know how to do this stuff
They did used to have TVs that did it that way
The robot thing was stupid af
Come on, Jackson, you even have 90s hair.
Ah well, 2/3 not bad.
Exactly what I was thinking. A generation influenced by '90s and they don't know what that is or how it works. :(
@@kasaGG That's not what I meant at all. That's like saying if I wear a Beatles inspired hairstyle I should know how a transistor radio work
@@sunstarhaven3142 Oh. Well that's what I meant hehe.
This is more like a try not to get mad challenge for the viewers who are old enough to have used this tech.
I facepalmed thru this whole video. Now I have a red mark on my forehead.
I was born in 2003 and even ik which way the vhs tape is supposed to face 🤦🏻♂️
ryannotbrian same but I was born in 2000 and I had vhs and that part of my life was the best in my opinion
I remember having a TV like that and using the VHS tapes. This was like a blast to my childhood
3:43 he didn’t even take off the lenses
Leslie Jefferson that's what I said! The producers so young she didn't even notice. Lol
I feel old when I hear the 90s referred to as the olden days. I was a teen in the 90s.
Cuz those were the old days to a person growing up in the 2000's or 2010's
Tell me about it, I was born in 1987 and still remember the 90's like it was yesterday
It still makes a person feel old lol
@Knowtheledge Thelastdayzthe 90's was only 20 years ago, not that long
I was born in 1980. I found this tshirt that said I'm an 80s baby but the 90s made me lol I don't usually think much about my age but sometimes joke about it.
Try and record a song from the radio on a cassette
Jackson is rocking the quintessential early 90s boy haircut!
Yaas 💯
* *shovelling snacks into my mouth* * you're gonna have to rewind that tape
Adding the robot to this made no sense whatsoever
A real hilarious challenge. I don't know why I found the fact that they all tried to find a slot for the VHS on the TV so funny, but I did.
Some CRT TV's sometimes had a VCR built into them, back in the day.
Lmao the olden days! Man I feel ancient watching this
I hope they now appreciate how good they have it now.
Retro TV... BOY, it's just called TV!
I really don’t know why but I love seeing young people struggle with old tech, is fascinating.
Lucky for me, you'd be disappointed. I am a Gen Z who owns a JVC VHS-C Camcorder from the 90s, and can use it. I don't struggle with old tech.
ikr
Same
Te - technical
Di - difficulties
holy crap
It's funny how they all instantly start vlogging
Those cameras were super expensive! Back then, cameras were considered luxury items! I can see how it would be difficult considering it's technology they've never seen or used. Think old people with brand new smartphones trying to download and use an app. Brings back memories for sure! "Simpler" times.
This is why being born in the 80s is the best, you can use both old and new tech easy.
That'll be us in 20 years
@@parisht2381 You think so? IDK man, I'm pretty savvy on machines/computers.
I feel so old when they started filming themselves, like a selfie, instead of filming whats in front of you
Yea that’s what I hate about vlogging and you tubers today, they make everything about them
I dont think i yelled at the screen more during one of these than at this video
KACEY: "...the olden days..."
😂😂😂
Jaxon and Marlhy are just the coolest people!
@@unlokia What are you talking about?
That Jackson kid has a crazy deep voice at such a young age.
When she said olden days I cried a little inside
You should make them react to old mobiles. As task you could tell them to send a long message with no more than 80 characters (was it 80?). then they should try to play snake or tetris...
you could also give them cell phones from different years (trying MMS, IR data exchange, etc)!
Yes to this! I would love to see them try to figure out old cell phones
this is a great one but make it without robot, replace robot with adults or elders.
teens vs elders/adults/college kids.
nice, keep the format but ditch Tedi
Should have had an adult or elder step in at the end and show them how it's done.
Jackson looks 90s 😂
I would actually like to see the adults trying this same challenge because all of us tend to forget things that we don't use anymore. Let's see if they can still remember.
Challenge the teens to try and make a mix tape from a duel deck boom box. Then, challenge them to burn a CD ROM.
BlackPiano Excellent idea! I hope they take this suggestion.
Have them try out an 8track.
I've been out of the loop of newer React videos, but I had to watch this one because I grew up in front of my dad's 80's camcorder. Looks like 90's camcorders were a little simpler than 80's ones. You had to use a mini-tape deck and you had to transfer the footage from it onto a VHS tape, so you needed to have VCR. Ahh, good times.
By the way, the whole Tedi thing is kind of weird.
I remember my family had a VHS that they can put the mini-tape inside it.
I'm 37 and even I don't know how to use one of those things. we really couldn't afford something of that magnitude growing up. idk why i get the impression that Jackson is related to Troy. They look and sound similar.
You should do elders using a modern camera
When you went to watch a video and didn't bother to rewind it last time you watched it. Sitting in front of the TV holding the button and letting go of it to see if you had finished yet😂. I was born in 2000 and still know all this stuff. Unofficial 90s kid I guess. Mum threw away all my old videos. Miss them so much. Don't even remember what they all were either😭😭😭
Ah, the VHS camcorder. An elegant tool for a simpler time.
😊😊😊😊😊😊😊
HEAVY af . tho
but *yup*
8:22 retro tv man I feel old. Retro tv too me are anything still playing black and white.
These kids make me feel old
Same.
same
Yeah... I'm 28, I shouldn't feel this old.
Same!
20 to 30 years from now this is how this generation will be reacting to the next generations DVD's and dying (if not dead) streaming services. 😁
Man I miss the OG teens
This but no robot.
Ok I'm 29, I don't feel old but around 8:32 I died... they try to put the tape on the TV smh...
Yeah it was funny. In their defence there were combo TVs with VHS recorder, but that wasn't one :D
Not gonna lie, I'm 46 and I assumed there would be a VCR too...
You know right that there are vcr/tv combos? So She wasn't really wrong, cause they were in the same place she opened, so she actually was right, you are wrong
I used to make "horror" movies on a camcorder like that XDDD They always featured that green mask from Goosebumps, LOL
How about kids (age10-15) use an MS-DOS and/or commadore 64 computer? Or have tasks on an older computer using floppy disks? Such as “install a game”- where they cannot use the internet to do so, lol. Remember when all programs to install came on floppy disks or CD-ROMs? Lol
omg yes please!!! 😂
They don't even know AV cables. I feel ancient.
I grew up in the era of RCA/Composite cables! I was yelling at my screen when I saw then struggling with that lmao!
Marhly:It's a piece of cake
Camera: am i joke to you!!??
Marhly: yes😏
Camera: wait and watch
Marhly fails
Camera::))))))):):):):):):):):)
you should make them come back and react to their own video that they did. and i remember them 90s Camcorder so much
and yet the difference between "their" and "there" eludes you?
i found alot of VHS tapes in my attic, and 2 camcorders. they good
They gave the first kid a point even though the lens cap was still on. That should be a hard fail - I mean you still need to take off lens caps these days too.
It recorded and succeed the objective.
You can still record with the cap off. It will be just recording darkness but it's still recording
Yo! Jackson looks like he’s from the 90’s 😂
I was born in 94, I remember using this camera when I was like 9 years old 😅
was born in 1992, i miss my camcorder, but i still have all my old tapes from 1998-01
This was so adorable. Now have them use a floppy disk.
She said: Olden days 🤣 I feel old right now
The 90s are the "olden days"?! Maybe we should do an 1890s challenge next.
Yeah, really. I'd like to see them try to use a loom.
How ironic that Jackson looks like a 90s kid right now, however, he's far from it.
He Looks like a 90s Kid. But He was Born in 2004
@@SubwithnovideochallengeCanidoi that's Jaxon. Not Jackson. The one they're talking about has the Leonardo Decaprio hair
@@SubwithnovideochallengeCanidoi 2002
This is fun but I think I prefer the ones where the kids/teens just react and talk about old technology more. Let them play around with it and explore it instead of frantically working on it.
Yes, because seriously, 3 minutes is seriously short for finding out such things. Even when I buy a new videocamera I probably spent 1,5 minutes looking for the on-switch. The batteries are no problem on most professional equipment (which is the only stuff I own), but eventhough the on/off switch is usually on almost the same location on every professional camera, I can still be overlooking the whole machine before I find it. I really applaud these teenagers that most of them figured out putting the battery AND the tape in within 3 minutes...
You should do 35mm cameras and film!
Some of the young people are getting into that...
I was born in the 2000s and I know how to put this thing together
Rowdy Jr. 🥰👌
Omg I was sitting here watching this like it hurts. I was yelling directions at my phone. I'm 24 so it's funny because now I know how my parents felt when I was struggling with their tech lol
11:23 lol the olden days
Well, for them it is.
It's been 20 years since 1999. I'm sure many teens said the same things about the 70s in 1999.
Have them create mix on a cassette tape or burn one on a CD.
Sega Genesis with Sonic 2 next time please ☺
Who came up with the stupid robot idea....
Some old technology can out perform new it's always good to understand old tech to better improve new tech.
Thats true, 35mm cameras from the 70's that they used to film high budget movies have such a great quality that today the original footage can be converted into real 4k resolution, that never got to the consumers back then though but film corporations still kept these tapes stored, thats why we have such crazy remasters of old movies, the godfather its a great example of that.
Jackson got a 90s hairstyle
I'd like to see Seniors vs Current technology.
"hello I'm jaxon. I just won." hahahahahah
Anybody else is glad that we have an SD card and not have to do all of that
Oh come on, I’m a teenager in the modern age and even I know how to work a 90s camera!
Simon TrainBrainz shhh
not everyone knows how it works, i'm 21 years old and i've never seen that before in my life. But i think i would figure it out pretty fast how it works.
Started watching movies on VHS as a kid and now streaming on Netflix. This kids don't know the struggle of rewinding those tapes before you return them to the rental store.
jñjsh Khndrkpm Oh yes the good old high speed rewinder. I remember we had one of those things that we would put our movies in right after we watch them so that way we would have them ready in time. I accidentally broke it though. But thankfully the VCR rewound them fast enough to where we didn’t need it anymore.
@@The_blindpizzaguy1300 I ain't doing it. I used my money to pay the rental fee . They have to do it. 😝
the robot is unnecessary!!!
Dedicated to all the old people who cant handle new technology lol
Jackson used to look like Harry Styles now he looks like Sam from Supernatural😂😂🤣
