I think it’s hard to have that final nail in the coffin when you haven’t been there before. I think that’s also why the Huskers couldn’t close. None of those players have been on a championship winning team, either. There’s just an extra level that gives you. PSU and Louisville have the edge because they knew this was possibly their one chance. Championship winning teams always have that one person on the team that chews nails for breakfast-like Anna DeBeer and Jess Mrzuk. Pitt and NE don’t have that person yet.
