You cannot turn off the passcode option any longer. Zoom changed this for ALL accounts no matter if you are free or paid. You now MUST have to have a passcode despite users not wanting this. Zoom is awful for doing what they want to do not what their customers want.
@@HeLIEl I don't blame you. Zoom must have some pretty unimaginative people working there is this is the way they solve people popping into meetings they shouldn't be in. The passcode is annoying as hell and doesn't work a lot. How many times me as teh host set up a meeting only for the other people to all tell me they can't get in because the passcode is not working, etc. Zoom sucks. 40 minutes free compared to google meet's 1 hour free? I switched to Google Meet a few weeks back. No regrets. Even their paid memberships are like more than half the price of zoom's. Screw zoom.
@@HeLIEl I hear you bro. The passcode bs zoom made mandatory was one of the two reasons that drove me away from zoom to Google meet. But I hear ya that it was their choice of platform to use. Hopefully you still did well enough to get the gig. Good luck brother.
@@MB561 They should had made it like Skype, just log in then click a button and you're in there, but no Zoom has to be so difficult. There's ways around a passcode they just lazy to implement it in.

Make sure you have a basic paid account (about $15/mo) and that you turned on the waiting room. If that doesn't work, there may be a permission setting you need to update in your account settings.

Oh i need some help , zoom doesn't let me change it, it is "locked" and I can't disable the passcode....
Hi, Maria - this likely means that your administrator controls this setting. Hopefully there is a tech person you can contact...
