#Iceland Geldingadalir #Volcano soun of #Lava #river this days NO good weather to go and record new vid lets watch this video, recorded one week ago 17/7/2021
Unbelievable ! Such heat! To think the interior of this planet is comprised of this . And, here we are... living right on top of it like nothing to worry about.. It's kinda scary to think of considering the size of the planet.. and how miniscule we are in comparison.
What a great video. Thank you. I can’t begin to imagine how frighteningly majestic this event and the lava must be to witness in person. I have no words. ❤️
lava rate is slowing though, though that may be just what is going out and over into the valleys, so long as its splashing around there, all will be good for a while yet
Please visit more often, we,the public,,deserve another person's, insights of this amazing natural event. We. ,the public , are being decived by hyperbolic persons not actually there. I'm hoping your a 'local'. That's going to keep going as long as the volcano keeps going. 🏴👍🏴
I went on Friday I could not make any video, was too much fog , I lost my day, yesterday was little better, today even in Reykjavik city has too much wind ( storm) many times I go there and can’t make any video
Wow it Sounds like water. Not had the chance to see the fast flowing lava rivers yet cos Im stuck at work but does it really sound like that? I hope Its still doing this when i get my shifts swapped round
Geologists in March were saying this could last months, years, decades, or maybe centuries. In other words, thay really don't know how long this will last. Mid Atlantic spreading ridge has been active for over 180 million years and it runs right threw that peninsula. So I'm taking the over on any predictions on how long this could go.
No void. This is a mantel plume. Imagine a soap scum topped saucepan of water or custard gently on a rolling boil. Plenty below this rift zone :) Search youtube for the 'Rift! What is tearing Africa apart' geological talk by David Hilton. Or one on Iceland volcanic geology.
I wonder what would happen if sea water reached the main lava/magma tube that leads directly to the athenosphere via a deep crack in the underground lava tube? Does anyone know? Would that be bad? 💥🌋💥😬
The sound! Priceless!
Great work, as usual.
Beautiful and mesmerising drone videos.
An honor and privilege to bare witness to this natural marvel.
Thanks for sharing your ELOQUENT images! A visually pleasing presentation which does not require an unintelligible voice-over commentary.
Brilliantly filmed and the sound from well raw nature well-done uploader, Great stuff and fresh up to date stuff, not last weeks fake news. xx
This video was recorded last week according to the description. :-D

Beautiful footage and you captured the amazing sound of the lava! Thank you! Stay safe out there!
Its soo beautiful.,..
Terribly beautiful in the classic sense.
nice video!
Awesome audio 🤩

And to think, a sun has been discovered over 1,000,000 bigger than our own, we barely exist
Good to see good views or it's not all distant and drone. Wonder how toasty it is that close to the river You can get.
It's all very well showing us where the lava is coming from. that pretty self evident. I would like to see where it's ending up.
What a great video.
Thank you.

❤️
Good grief. Is she not tired yet? The amount she has let out is just amazing. Great bit of filming. Thank you for sharing.
A Lava Marathon!
Cool! Makes me miss seeing the volcano. You, too, I'm sure! (Stupid fog, or vog... feel badly that it's ruining your summer weather.) 🌄!
Ain't no eruption like a mantle eruption 'cause a mantle eruption don't stop!
lava rate is slowing though, though that may be just what is going out and over into the valleys, so long as its splashing around there, all will be good for a while yet
Its insane the amount of Lava this has let out since the beginning.
The area is changed forever in such a short period of time.
thats nothing compared to what the landscape will look like in 100 years You are watching the birth of the next Mount St Helene
How can those little dams they built possibly stop a river of lava like this.

Which hiking route did you take to get to this point? How much time hiking?
Wow it Sounds like water. Not had the chance to see the fast flowing lava rivers yet cos Im stuck at work but does it really sound like that? I hope Its still doing this when i get my shifts swapped round
Yes real sound with my camera,
LOVE TO SEE WHER EIT IS ALL GOING TO END AND STUFF... PLEASE
Will it ever stop erupting?
Yes.
Probably. Most Icelandic eruptions are episodic.
how far from the sea is it now and do you think it will reach it
It is currently flowing away from the sea. I do think it will reach the sea, just not soon.
@@josephastier7421 ok thank you for the reply
I keep seeing reports that the eruption is "coming to an end". No, it's really not :)

Try Amazon prime see if they have a cork.On a serious note imagine the void left behind scarey.

You're seeing what happens at the mid-Atlantic ridge under the ocean.
The force that moves continents.
Minus the effects of being deep, deep in the ocean, of course. No rivers down there, it comes out as pillow lava instead (Google it for images)
Has it made it to the road yet?
Not yet. Most of this flow is going ~northward into Meradalir currently.
Thank you
Not so much a lava river as a lava torrent!
I wonder what would happen if sea water reached the main lava/magma tube that leads directly to the athenosphere via a deep crack in the underground lava tube?
Does anyone know?
Would that be bad?
💥🌋💥😬
As a nice science project, they could dump water into the cone with a fire hose. Would be epic!
3:00-3:19 There is a FISH in the lava…
Or a ghost ;)
