    I used your method of installing it really works. The best thing I don't have to remove the fairings. The hard part is sneaking your fingers to the top bolt which is doable using two hands in removing the top bolt.

    • @astroblemeRC
      @astroblemeRC  3 года назад +2

      These shocks are more comfy than standard, but there are much softer shock on the market, I remember seeing a video on some red shock breakers for the Nmax and the video shows extremely soft and comfy ride... can't find the video now though. The good news is 2020 saw many new shocks released for the Nmax, some of them will be very very soft no doubt.

    How do you get on with the 150 wider rear tyre? I am going to fit michelin city grip2 but saw you fitted a wider rear. There are mixed reviews on fitting wider tyres on the web.

    • @astroblemeRC
      @astroblemeRC  3 года назад +1

      Hi there! I can only give my personal opinion on how the scooter handled, on the original tyre it felt quick to turn and very nimble which was nice, the wider tyre felt slower to flick around but I made the scooter go very very low on some turns on the fatter tyre which was really fun! Also, the 150 rear looked awesome for a scooter!

    How much better the shocks are than the originals?

    • @astroblemeRC
      @astroblemeRC  6 лет назад +1

      nikanim
      To us, the YSS shocks feel like they have a softer or smoother compressing spring, meaning bumps feel less agressive, as the preload is adjustable they can be set to correctly perform for the rider's weight.
      In our opinion, they feel much better when riding in bumpy roads, the material also seems superior when compared to the standard shocks.

    I am a new user of nmax. I just wonder, how do you remove its rear tire? I mean what are the parts that needed to be removed in order to get the rear tire removed. And also as i can see, you are using an aftermarket exhaust system. What type, brand of exhaust is that. How much does it cost? Where did you buy it? Hows the sound? Isn’t it too loud! Thanks.

    • @astroblemeRC
      @astroblemeRC  5 лет назад

      Hi, the exhaust is a Scorpion 🦂 exhaust, it’s too expensive and we do not recommend it because the screws rust and the sound is so so, the Misano R9 exhaust is good if you get the baffle/DB killer too, here is the link to our video of the exhausts ruclips.net/video/I75Y4y4WD6E/видео.html
      We changed the rear tire ourselves but we SINCERELY recommend you just take it to a shop and pay just a little money to get them to do it.
      It needs just a few tools 🛠 like a socket set, spanner 🔧 and some extra large socket sizes, with an extended breaker bar, and some tire/tyre bead breakers. BUT the force needed to remove the tire by hand is insane, it took us hours. But we did it because we had the tools, we will go to get it done by a mechanic/ garage from now on.

    • @astroblemeRC
      @astroblemeRC  5 лет назад

      daniel fallon
      Hey buddy! Do not, repeat do not ride with one shock only, it’ll be very very dangerous since the frame is designed to be balanced on its stress joints.
      If you’re lookin for a soft ride, there’s a company that makes some very soft suspension for the Nmax, they call them Shockbreakers. I can’t remember but the company was in Asia, either Thailand or a neighboring country, they are super soft, there’s a video on RUclips about them, check it out as they really soften the ride. The standard Nmax springs felt like a horse and cart lol.
      Good luck and stay safe! ^^

      Hi! We tried moving the reservoir into different orientations, but it always hits something on heavy load, it would get too close to either the airbox, exhaust or tire.
      We can't remember exactly, but we're not sure if the reservoir can he mounted facing the front, it may foul the under tray.
      Thanks for checking out the channel! 👍🏻

    • @macrosssky
      @macrosssky 6 лет назад

      Astrobleme thx for replying, erm actually is not the reservoir that wrong facing, is the reservoir still facing the back, but the left and right absorber is opposite way, that make the yss wording facing to the tyre.

    • @astroblemeRC
      @astroblemeRC  6 лет назад

      kai lun
      Ah I see! Yes that should be fine! There is a little silver warning sticker on the inside which will be slightly visible, but not a problem. We were also thinking of hiding the sticker on the reseevoir, one idea we had was to remove the sticker and replace it with a Red Bull sticker to make the little reservoir look like a Red Bull can which is fun!

      or does softer spring tension compromising the cornering stability of the nmax.

    • @astroblemeRC
      @astroblemeRC  5 лет назад +1

      david onez
      Setting the spring to maximum softness will help with comfort, make sure your body weight doesn’t bottom out (max out) the travel when riding.
      Stiffer springs will increase cornering capability on higher end bikes, it won’t make much of a difference on an Nmax unless you are riding a track day or racing to the max.
      I like to have it soft too for more comfort.

      Not really, it's usually done to match the weight of the rider so the suspension can do a better job. Such as if the rider is very heavy (I weigh 200lbs) so the original suspension was having a hard time. It also is a bit more cosmetically appealing
